I have a problem with a Nokia 5165 ( very similar to 5160). when I try to enter into NAM2 menu, after the *3001#12345# command, a messg "not allowed" appears on screen, all other functions: nam1, security code, etc, works as expected. any idea will be fully apreciated. jupa@gmx.net
My guess is that your provider locked out the nam2 function so that you couldn't use the phone on any other carrier. If this is the case then you would have to get the unlock code or method either from someone in your provider's company or someone else who may know how.
Not right off hand, but to put it this way I really have no other idea of what it could be except a modification by your provider.
