    Hello!
Have not had a question or problem in a long time but I know this is the right place for either.

I am currently using a Nokia 3390 with T-Mobile and I am happy with the phone and the service.

I have the basic bare bones package going for $19.95 + taxes = about $27.00 a month.

I rarely use over 35 minutes a month and I think I could be better off with a pre-paid service.

Do I have a choice of providers that I can go to with my existing phone ?????

I live in Brooklyn, NY and often go to Cape May, NJ and parts of CT for vacations.

T-Mobile also has a prepaid service. I'm not sure of the details regarding cost b/c it's not on their website. (there's a package that includes the phone there but you don't need that.) I also grabbed this: "EasySpeak® Prepaid cards are available at any T-Mobile store and many authorized retailers. To keep your phone active just purchase a card from your local store. " They have some sort of Gold Rewards program that give you bonus minutes but I don't know how it works.

I can add alittle bit of information for you

T-mobile sells a pre-paid starter kit (sim and $10 worth of airtime for $50). I think that the minutes are somewhere in the neighborhood of 45 cents per minute

    .45 cents and 35 minutes are $15.75

I personally would stick with the contract pricing at $19.99 because the extra $4.25 gives you Alot more mintes.

    My 2 cents

I would try Virgin Mobile. 30$ lasts 90 days which comes out to 10$ a month...no taxes. That 30$ gives you 120 minutes, which is 40 minutes a month. I think this is the best deal for you. They use Sprint as their coverage, which in most cases beats T-Mobile. www.virginmobileusa.com PS Phones start at 59$ usually with some sort of rebate.

actually, the minimum amount of money you need to put in your account every 90 days is $20. the first ten mins. each day are $.25/min; after that, its $.10/min for the rest of that day. incoming sms is free; outgoing is $.10.

if your happy with tmobile then stay there. IMO changing carriers may only cause you headaces. T-mobile does have a prepaid program called easy speak. No contracts, no monthly bill. $10.00 - 30 min ; $25.00 - 100 min ; $50.00 - 250 minutes ; $100.00 - 500 min. Included features are nationwide long distance and roaming, text messaging @ .10 cents a message, voicemail, caller id, call waiting, conference calling or (3 way) The easyspeak kit comes with 30 dollars worth of air time no matter the phone you choose. hope that this helped out !

EVERYONE HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL. I APPRECIATE THEIR SHARING THE EXPERIENCE AND INSITE BUT THE POINT THAT NO ONE IS COMENTING ON IS WHAT PREPAID SERVICE CAN I GO TO WITH MY PHONE (A NOKIA 3390 AND I ALSO HAVE A NOKIA 5190) AND JUST PAY FOR SOME TIME AND NOT HAVE TO BUY A 3RD PHONE).

    THANKS!

Either phone will work. It doesn't matter.
