NHL Gamecenter App is now terrible vs last year's version

    Are there any hockey fans here that used the NHL gamecenter app last year? (2011-2012 season)

    It was very well done with stats, schedules and other features.
    This year it is completely re-designed and almost useless.

    I don't get why they would do that -- am I missing something?

    Maybe the developer was expecting the lockout to last all year and didn't have the app up to speed? The season started kind of suddenly (I was expecting a full-season lock-out). Maybe give it a week or two and see if it improves?

    If that was the case, it would have been better to load the new season's data in to the old app.

    Looking at it some more... I think they degraded the free app, to get more people to pay for features that were free last year.

    I didn't use the app last year but I did pay the $5 to upgrade so I can listen to games on the radio feed since the Flyers are rarely on tv out here.
