    Yea they'll prob charge $8.99 for the app its self then charge you for the data at$1.99/kb..I've never known verizon to give anything away for "free"

    The app is free. The app does use data, so you will either need a plan or I assume pay $1.99/MB. Also if you sign up for alerts (especially team alerts), you will need a texting plan too. I really like the NFL app. I can't wait until regular season starts for the NFL.
