I doubt it. T-Mobile barely works on Rt 80, so if it doesn't work well there, forget about the Poconos.
the poconos is hit or miss for all carriers some places you have coverage, some you don't. If you're Looking for DEAD ZONES You came to the right place. You'll see when you get there.
I am almost willing to bet money that Nextel has some kind of covrage/towers in exchange for SMR service for all parks, police, fire, and maintence in the area. They (Nextel) have done it before anywere they can.
I live just outside of easton- there is a road called rt 33 (it is 20 min east of 476 that goes from easton/ bethlehem up to the poconos (about 45 min - 1hr away)
By the looks of the map & where you are talking, it appears you might have coverage with Nextel up there, I know a buddy at work has a house up that way & he said he has seen people with Nextels using them, where he can't use his Cingular unless he goes near the top of the mountain, I think he is near big bear mountain.
If it's close to the Main Interstate your OK. But If it's in that "white area of Nextel Map" east of I-380, north of I-80, south of I-84 and west of of NJ/PA Border Line. Nothing works in this area. Somehow Cingular is showing that Dead Area Smaller, they must have revised their Map.
