Anyone know if and when a new nextel phone is coming? Would like to see a color one like the Motorola i95cl but alot smaller....i heard new phones or coming but have no concrete word on when...anyone know?
Nextel will want to hit their competition (Verizon and Sprint PTT) on all levels, including new marketing and the launch of nationwide direct-connect. You can pretty much bet that some new phones are going to come with this campaign. However.. with these new commercials for nationwide direct-connect, I am seeing the i95cl. You'd think if they had something waiting in the bag that it'd be featured in these new ads, huh? So I could always be wrong.
The first falcon is the i205 and will be released Oct. 03. The i730 with a color screen will be out Nov. 03, will be positioned between the i90 and i95cl. There will only be 2 new handsets in 2003, maybe 3. The top of the line color i830 probably wont be out until 2004.
