    Hi everyone!

I'm wondering if anyone has NEXTEL in the Berkeley/Bay Area?? I'm deciding between Verizon or Nextel.

If so, can you please discuss the pos/neg about nextel in the Bay Area? How is reception.

I already know that Verizon is great in Berkeley because 3 of my co-workers all switched to it from Cingular. My cingular contract is coming up...so I'm looking around.

I know with NExtel, they have a 39.99 plan: 300 anytime + 3200 nights and weekend + 250 direct connect. I don't think I'll be using direct connect though, but yeah...just wondering about the service. Any information would be helpful. THanks!!

    Hi BigLaw,

I only know of one personal acquaintance that uses Nextel as his person wireless service provider. He runs a window washing business that travels the greater part of the west, south and east bays. He has his phone programmed so that he can use the one phone for both direct connect to his staff in the field and to his wife on his personal account. I've never been a fan or user of Nextel, so I can't comment much beyond what my friend has related. He is very pleased with it.

The only "mistake" I think you are making is using "price" as the basis of your decision. See: My Web site article

    Hi KevinJames!

Thanks so much for your website!! It has lots of good and valuable information. I'm definitely going to take into consideration of all your tips and advice.

Think I'm going to consider AT&T now too. I know that it's really good too cause I have a few friends that have it also. My dad has a spare Nokia 8260 to use with that too. Hrm....

    hehehe..thanks man!
