Nextel in Connecticut?

    Anyone with opinion/knowledge of Nextel in CT? I have been looking to change plans and just got offer in mail from Nextel/Delta Skymiles for Nextel service. If the coverage is good then I will switch. I use phone mostly in New Haven and Bridgeport areas. And frequently travel to NYC/Long Island and Cape Cod.

    Any responses appreciated.

    Your nextel coverage should be good in all those areas.

    Just remember to check nextel's map and if where you go is in there coverage great if not go with someone elese.

    Nextel service is excellent in CT along the major highways. It suffers the further away you get from them.
    If you only travel I-95 between NewHaven and NYC, you should be fine.
    I don't know about the Cape itself, but the routes to drive there should be fine.
    There has been some complaint on this forum about Nextel being overcommitted in NYC, but then the same complaint has been made about every carrier in NYC.
    Just remember that you do not roam off of the Nextel network. If there is no Nextel service, you have NO service.
    I do not use Nextel. I personally do not like their phones.
