    Hi -

We've moved the WA forums to a new forum platform.
We still have a lot of work to do -- think of this as a new house that isn't fully furnished yet! :D

Instead of taking a long time to get everything perfect, I thought we would just open it up and go from here.

Please take a look around and see what you think.

Over the next few weeks, the styling will improve, we'll figure out all the config settings, and we'll get the gallery back online.

I hope you like the new forums....there's no going back from here.

    Joe

This is just the stock style with some minor color changes. We will be getting a fully styled theme.

BTW - Yours was the 1st member post on the new platform. ;)

    I like it.

I got locked out for wrong password attempt, got my new password but cannot find the option to change it.

    Where is that option hiding?

    Please help.

    Thanks.

    Edit: got it.

I had to do a password reset to get in, but I'm here now.

Strangely enough, I was able to log in yesterday without having to reset the password, but today had to go through the password reset as well.

Charlyee, have you figured out how to change the password?

I found and fixed and issue that might be related to that. The fix may cause you to be logged out again. It may help to clear out any wirelessadvisor.com cookies.

JFB Here ... I've logged in with some VERY old test accounts (like this one) without having to do a password reset. I hope that problem is fixed.

Correct. Click your Username near the upper left right. In the box that appears, click 'Password' in the left column of options.

The new look is great, JFB.

I do notice that my avatar is truncated, mostly along the length. Is that fixable or has the standard format changed. My avatar now shows 'iewfly' When I click on the avatar, the whole image is shown correctly however.

I like the new look of the forum. Looking forward to the additional changes.

EDIT: For some reason it says Junior Member under my name. Not sure why that is the case.

I'm not sure why, but since I'll be changing things around leave your avatar as is for now.

    Fixed.

BTW - I'll be posting as JFB and Webmaster for a while.

Yes there is a link called "New Posts" up top in the bar below the "Forums" tab.
I will be adding a block in the right column for New/Recent posts.

I am still working on various tweaks.
There are a few more smilies now (y):notworthy::love::cry::coffee:
and at some point there will be a fully custom theme.

I am finding the current style hard on my eyes. First off I suggest you change the font for posts to some sans-serif font. Tests have shown that serif fonts are less readable than sans-serif ones on computer screens. Secondly, the light grey text used does not have enough contrast. It needs to be a darker grey. Also the poster's information in the box to the left of a posting is just plain too small.

I work with usability and accessibility on the web where I work so this stuff just jumps out at me.
