How is $50 for 5oo min. good? I pay $45 for 550 and have 1000MTM, Nation wide Longdistance and 3500 Night and Weekend. And don't say unlimited is better then 3500, because if you use more then 3500 N/W min, you are going to die of brain cancer soon anyways.

Well, isn't the current PROMOTIONAL plan good too? Or maybe better than the new one?

For $40, don't you get 700 anytime and 4000 nights/weekends? You can add $5.00 more to get free long distance. So that makes it $45 for 700 anytime, free long distance, and 4000 nights and weekend (if you ask me, that is more than enough offpeak minutes).

    Just my 2 cents.

I would go for the plan that expires on the 31st. Seems like a better deal.

You can't get the $4.99 MTM minutes/ Unl N&W on the Anytime Plans. But basically what they've done is taken away 200 of the anytime minutes from the 700 plan to make the 1000 plan more attractive. The 1000 plan is still an awesome deal though.

Juan. I nottice that you are an employee. Can I add an extra phone to that 1000 anytime since I won't be using it? Or would I have to go with the family share plan? Thanks

Too bad they don't have the 1000 anytime plan for the AC Plan. They should increase those peak minutes as well to make it more attractive.

Here are the changes for the AC Plan (and family share plan).

Right now, you have 2 choice (until 7/31):
4000 n/w minutes at no extra cost (or 3200 minutes on family share plans)
OR unlimited n/w minutes AND mobile web for $5 more.

    In 08/01, Verizon will offer:
2000 n/w minutes (at no extra cost)....a decrease of 2000 minutes.
OR unlimited n/w minutes AND 1000 mobile to mobile minutes for an extra $5 (no more mobile web as a promo)

Overall, it still sucks since they are offering the 1000 m2m minutes to get us to get our friends hooked on Verizon so we can use it. The m2m minutes are only Verizon to Verizon cell users. We are their sales bate.

Forgot to add...peak minutes remain the same. If you like the 08/01 promo, you can call up now and they will give it to you. Its best to call at the beginning of a new billing cycle so your minutes dont get prorated. Remember if you change your promo, your contract will renew.

They want to squeeze as much money as they can get from us, but they are one of the best cell phone carriers so its worth the $. What good are extra minutes with other plans if you cant use them because or poor service.

I personally was not happy with Verizon Wireless! They were always charging me more than suppose to. I would have to call them constantly and dispute charges. I do not trust Verizon at all.

It seems that all the providers are slowly taking away value from the consumer so they can make more profit . Smoke and mirror " promotions " . I don't like but it but no one is forcing me to have wireless phone service .

[IMG] Help; I am a Worldcom wireless customer, who recently was traveling to and from K.C. to care for my terminally ill mom. I switched my mins. to 450 anytime mins. and received a bill for 1200.00 dollars. Worldcom claims that my switch did not take place on the 16th of the month, (which is when new billing starts) but on the 17th and the rep. was mistaken when they quoted that the new rate would begin immediatley. Well the plot thickens, I called back on June 18th, when I received the bill and questioned the amount of the bill and gave my reference (confirmation) # of the transaction and stated that I changed my program and that I received this whooper of a bill. The rep. told me due to the Administrator's taking over Worldcom's accounts due to b/k, I am now responsible for this bill regardless of the program, due to it not being properly handled I must pay all of the separate charges...!!!!!! Boy, am I furious. I did the right thing and changed my program, but received terrible service and now I want out of my contract. (which will cost an additional $250.00) Also, my husband heard of new providers coming to the West Coast (So. Bay area) with unlimited mins anytime has anyone a solution besides pre-paid cards. At this point "pre-pay" is looking really good to me. I have read some of your comments about the t-mobile, and I wonder what the "service" is really all about. Readers let me know.

    Thanks

    Mortgage Buzgirl

I would contact the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and dispute it. I would even call the FCC to since they would handle something like this too. I'm sure both agencies will help you.

Better yet, let your cellular service KNOW that you will be filing complaints to the FCC of your state and the BBB, and all other commissions, etc. Say you will write them a letter and complain, etc. Usually, they should get their acts together and take care of you.
