    Hey.

I was able to see some of the new phones to be released by VZW between today till the end of the year. Supposedly, VZW will have about 14 new phones coming out.

I saw the Motorola C333.. Its very small and suppose to be for the low end user. It's like an upgrade of the Moto V120e. The phone is unique because you can change its shape. It's for kids.
Nokia is coming out with 2 types of phones. They look like the type of phones that T-mobile and Cingular have.. They have an retractable antennae, but when its in, it looks like the moderm nokia phones. THey have a high end w/ color screen, and a lower end without color.

The most impressive phone i saw was the Moto V60p. They were going to put out the Moto V60x but the P includes the Push-To-Talk feature. If you know, the push to talk feature is like Nextel's Direct Connect (walkie talkie).. The rep said that the phone is due to be released by July or August meaning the Push To Talk feature will be marketed very soon as well. The V60p is the 'flagship' phone for that service. So if youre planning on doing an upgrade, you may want to wait a few months before you do so.

I saw some new Kyoceras and Audivoxs, but there wasnt anything spectacular.

Cool new phones. Curious if some of the new ones will be dual band only.

I didn't know, thanks! Verizon's PTT is like Nextel's DC huh? Is this how they are marketing it?

    LOL

They aren't marketing it like anything it's not even been made official yet... and I will say it's not one of the "new" things on June 1st...

In addition to the v60p (for those interested in a slow walkie-talkie), a lot of people are also highly anticipating the Samsung a610 and LG vx6000 (both have built-in cameras). The SE T606 will the first color candy-bar phone for Verizon and with an internal intenna (and it offers a camera attachment) -- this phone will also be very feature rich.

LG has done very well with it's lineup of phones for Verizon and so I am looking forward to getting the LG vx6000. Users on HoFo are reporting that if all goes well, Verizon just may release that phone hopefully in June -- but it could be August or September if testing issues arise.

Anyways, I'm very interested in a solid phone with camera capabilities not just because it's a gimmick but I have real practical uses for it.

I think Verizon knows that there is a lot of pressure on them to pump out the LG vx6000 asap this summer to compete with Sprint, AT&T and T-mobile's lineup of color camera phones.

Yeah there is nothing spectacular about Kyocera's lineup -- at least it adds some more choices to the current lineup of bland candy-bar phones.

Do you know if Cingular will have Push to Talk soon, and if so what phones will be required to use that feature ?

Thanks in advance for your reply !

Ah, the delicate balance between pleasing customers and offering something that competes with other companies and releasing quality phones.

Will the vx6000 be a great phone or the next T720...hopefully the former!

Cingular have no plans for PTT as far as I know.

Do any of the GSM/TDMA carriers have plans for this? I think they are all too busy spending time and money on their conversions, with the exception of T-Mobile, which has no need to do conversions ,but they could stand to build out their coverage first before focusing on something like PTT, IMO.

I have only heard talk about PTT with regards to Verizon, and to a much lesser extent, Sprint.

I feel that only we need Dual-Band, Tri-mode phones only coming out, no matter how much Digital any CDMA or TDMA company has, and I don't get the whole camera phone thing, but, ok. I use my phone for talking, text messaging, and a datebook...that's about it.
