I agree. I have a Q sitting around collecting dust because I refuse to pay the outrageous monthly fee for data.
Yeah and you really didnt like it much either you need to let me borrow it. I told you I break it I buy it.
Lol I should have just given it to you yesterday but I forgot. I'm looking at it right now and just wiped the dust off it, LOL.
It is still high despite my state employee discount for voice (15% off line 1) and data (20% off line 1)... but messaging, Line 2, and high Florida taxes offset the discount
I just pulled this month's bill and the total taxes and fees are $19.14. Not as high as I thought... My total bill is $135 before taxes... It looks like the taxes and fees are HIGHER as a percentage on the lower priced plans. Taxes and fees range between 15 & 20% here I wonder what are these new plans are al about... I dont think the prices are going to fall; but time will tell
i like how they have the new calling plans in tiers where you can essentially build your own plan.........you just need to know how many minutes you want and whether you want texting and Web and bundling in this way can prolli save a customer a lot of money........ and its good that verizon is getting with the program and charging per unit of data not in the minutes of the session........i wish Sprint had MMS that was sent right to your phone..........cuz i hate having to go to a website to gert my pictures.........AT&T even got rid of that system........everyone sends them right to the phone now.....
Thanks for correcting me Ryan. I wasn't sure if it was 4 or 5 GB per month. Ok, I see that it is 5 GB per month. Thanks for finding this. I was just about ready to look for it since it was starting to bother me.
Our taxes in SW Florida for our Verizon Wireless bill are 14.3%. But our total monthly bill for four lines on an AC2 FS 3000 plan with no extra frills (i.e. data, text, etc.) averages around $198 per month with taxes (taxes average around $28.50/month).
speaking of taxes........a local newspaper in my area did an article on taxes in a phone bill.........it ranked Nextel as chargine the most in "taxes and fees" now granted this was before the merger but this lineup was followed by pre merger AT&T wireless then Cingular Wireless and then T-Mobile and then a local company IMMIX
Newbie here so please bear with me if I am asking questions that might be found elsewhere. I am anxiously awaiting verizon release of Pearl 2 Blackberry ( I have a razr now). With the new plan is it safe to assume that the $79.00 monthly phone and unlimited data will stay the same for say 450 phone minutes? or might it actually drop a bit re the 34.95 number being mentioned. Thanks, Mike
Mike, to be honest with you I am not sure about the answer to this question. It sounds like the price may drop a little, but, like I said, I have not heard a definite answer on that and we will have to wait until November 1st. Welcome to the Forums, Andy
Taxes and fees are ridiculously high. I am going to pull my bill and check to see how much we pay in taxes for 5 lines.
That's lovely I am thankful for the 20% discount but even that price is still high when compared to other companies... I would think that data pricing would be uniform across the smartphone devices... I will be disappointed if the new data pricing is only for RIM devices.
