It is on the west side of Washington St., halfway between Bradley and Van Buren Blvd. Disguised as a pine tree.

Cool thanks for the tip! I know which tower this is. It's located on County land and was PLOT PLAN NO. 18182 (a 71 foot monopine) which was approved by Riverside County on July 14, 2003. Do you know if it's actually on the air yet?

I would tend to think that tower is active. I drive through there all the time and get a full signal on my sanyo 8100. I don't know what it was like before because I have only had sprint for a few weeks. I drove up to the tower yesterday and it says the tower number on it as well as to contact sprint if there are any problems. Certainly all power is to the tower.

By the way, you responded to a question I had about a sprint tower near my house:

Thanks for the info, I am really happy with my service at home. By the way, are you aware of any new towers planned for the Riverside area?

Yes there are/were three more towers planned for Riverside:

One is at 7260 Marguerita Ave (between Madison & Washington). The other is at 4230 Jackson St. (at or near the Don Lorenzi Sports Park). A third site was planned for 3531 Madison St. mounted on a building.

I'm curious to find out if any of these have been built yet. If you happen to drive by any of these areas please let me know.

I was in Riverside today and found the new tower (which was activated last month) in the park at the intersection of Jackson & California. Here's a picture:

Yeah the newer trees look very good. The older generation (1997-2001) looked terrible.
