Cool! Cingular/Verizon are still a better bet @ $40 with m2m, but I like these plans a lot. Just too bad SPrint seems to have a lot of add-ons, though the $35 plan with 5$ 7pm nights is quite attractive. Cingular m2m doesn't do much for many areas that are just so freaking Verizon dominated, so this is cool. Either way, no change for me until 2007 lol
Next week, Verizon Wireless will roll out their ' Virtuous and Velumptious" plans to counter this. LOL.
Larry: So far these plans only show up on the Nextel side of Sprint's website and don't even include M2M. Am I wrong?
I was told the plans are available on both Sprint and Nextel. My guess is the web site is still behind so give it some time. M2M might not be included. But the good news is the new plans will include roaming as well.
What's wrong with add ons? I think offering extras such as 6PM N&W or 7PM N&W is a good thing. I actually have the free 7PM N&W code on my account so I can switch to the new $35 plan, keep my free 7PM and end up with 50 more anytime minutes and roaming included (which I don't currently have either but don't really need). The only hesitation I have about chaning my plan is there's always the risk of losing my precious $10 unlimited Vision. I've heard of some people losing this by mistake before and couldn't get it back. All you need is an incompetent rep and your screwed.
please fill us in if you are able to successfully get these 'deals'. also, what about a 2nd line, mobile to mobile, 7pm, etc. any details would be great
Probably the biggest attractive is that they now include roaming. That's certainly a big plus. This means now Sprint users can set their phones to automatic roaming so that will ensure better coverage everywhere they go. Too bad for Nextel users since they can't take advantage of the large CDMA/AMPS footprint in the US. This will be a great incentive for them to migrate over to Sprint plans. National carriers are really doing away with the roaming charges across the nation. Cingular, who started this trend back in 2002, is now eliminating roaming charges for customers on Local/Regional plans without touching their minutes. This is awesome! Local/Regional plans are now becoming national and your existing plan doesn't change.
Yes the F&F family plans do include M2M. But these new plans are individual plans so it's not included. I'm not sure if they will be bringing out new family plans but it doesn't look like it right now.
Nice but it would have been even better if they would have kept it at a 100 mins increments instead of the 50 mins..
I believe Agent said it was an affiliate market. Nice on, on having roaming included with those plans, now they can be a real competition against Cingular Nation and VZW America's Choice.
you know i overlooked at that, now that you mention that roaming is included it looks even better....
Just an update. From what I hear these new plans are available in some or all affiliate markets as well as corporate markets. I'm sure some will be happy about this.
Where did you hear about this Larry? I will call Sprint today to see if I can get the roaming option included.
