Strunke- Thanks for the info. The SID 1372 was/is the MWW and Alltel was 1367 and 1369. The SID 555 is around Sioux Falls, SD. Around SW MN the old CellOne stores that never really converted to Alltel stores are now Unicel stores. Many Unicel billboards and advertisements have shown up within the last month touting their national coverage.
I just tried *228 three times to update the roaming capabilities and it is still PRL 40001 and home SID is 1367. Maybe it will take a few days.
That means that ALLTEL did not change anything in your specific area. PRL updates often only "change" things for very few people.
Hopefully future PRL updates will change for the better, not worse in this area. I've heard of updated PRLs that made the phones worse. Hope that doesn't happen over here. One thing that should be updated in the PRL is to make USCC not list their SIDs as a solid roam. USCC (sid 246) is free roam now, so, they should update it to make it look like its free.
