I filled out an LG survey and ended up at the homepage. At the bottom, the new "Coming Soon" phone is an updated version of the VX-4400 called the VX-4400B.

I assume it'll be coming to Verizon. Anyone have confirmed info on this phone? Will it just be a 4400 with a new look or will it now have everything the VX-6000 does minus the camera (262,000 colors, etc.)?

yeah, got that survey today also, too bad they don't ask on how they can improved a few minor things on the 6000, like ringtones, keylight-time, etc.

    I think it's just a blue 4400.

I agree, tonye. But I think the whole survey is just a sham. All they really wanted to know was how often people buy electronics and how much we spend on them. They couldn't care less if we wanted the backlight to remain on.

You're right, Ceno. I had all of my questions answered on HoFo and it's just a VX-4400 with a blue panel on its front.

There have been a few replies in the HowardForum that suggests that maybe something is just a little different besides the color. Some different stuff noticed in the owners manual. Something about maybe GIN over 1x May be nothing but who knows. [IMG]

i agree SgtO, i don't think LG would just change the color on the 4400, you think they would add a few different features to attract new buyers.

Sorta sounds like Moto's T730 (you remember, the buggy 720 with a new faceplate?) [IMG] Couldn't 1x over GIN be taken care of with a software update?

well, the t720 doesn't even compare to the lg 4400 IMO.

If the above image is displaying part of the 4400B's owner's manual, then yes it does appear it will do BREW over 1X. And yes, this can be accomplished with a simple software upgrade, the same way the T720 can do BREW over 1X if you flash it to the T730 software.

so maybe LG is doing like Sanyo did with the 8100, just adding a little color.
