Long time! When the next generation iPhone X comes out, I plan to upgrade. My 7 plus is getting on 2 years now. It’s in perfect condition and battery is 100%.

I like the smaller profile. Maybe the notch is gone. Improved camera.

    Anyone else?

    vf, long time for sure.

I was so surprised to see a post from you that I dropped my 7 Plus ( I kid you not).

Fortunately it was case side down, I hope my perfect condition 7 plus will still be as perfect.

Yes, I have thinking about upgrading my 7 plus, since I didn’t get mine until mid February, February 17 th. to be exact, my intentions are to wait for actual user reviews before making a decision.

The notch never bothered me but the lack of fingerprint scanner does.

Lol! I have that affect on iPhones.

My daughter loves her X: and other reviews here are good. The face sensor seems to work well, and is the newest change that I was concerned about. The fingerprint sensor works well but there are seasonal changes ( wet, dry or chafed fingers) that after it.

I probably will not be opening day, but soon afterward.

Good to hear from you. How your Apple Watch? More and more people are getting them.

My Apple Watch is right now on top of my list, I really like it and find it quite useful.

If I were to do it again, I would get the lte version, not so much for cellular connectivity but the back of that version is ceramic, as opposed to the composite (plastic) in mine.

My wife will likely keep her 8+ for another year, so I doubt she'll want to upgrade, but who knows. And the 6+ I'm using is definitely not being replaced for as long as it's actually usable :)

Being only a small difference in price, I had a similar thought. But the plastic has worked out fine. I used it for 2 years and then gave my series 1 to a friend and they continue to use it. It’s in good condition (back).

Adding one more to your list - get superglue on thumb and index finger.

    LOL. I’ve done that also!

So with facial recognition, what if one becomes overly enthusiastic with their chocolate ice cream cone?

That's where the password entry comes in. While it is possible to type with your nose when your fingers are glued together, the case of the ice cream cone on one's face is more complicated. Perhaps carry some napkins when going out for ice cream, or wash your face if consuming on premises? Just thinking out loud.

LOL. I suppose there is always the standard password backup on the X as well.

So does the face recognition work with or without makeup?

Yeah fine, I know you two don’t care.

It's not like I don't care at all, just probably not for another couple of years and by then I'll surely learn the answer :D

I love my X. I thought I wouldn't like the fact that it's a smaller phone, but I actually like it. I've had no issues with Face ID and it works as advertised. Also, I've gotten so used to the gestures used on the X that at times, I accidentally use them on my 7 Plus. You won't even notice the notch after a very short time. Things I thought might be drawbacks aren't. Is it perfect? No. What phone is?

I have NO regrets getting the phone and look forward to the X Plus (or whatever they're going to call it) later this year. For me, the X is worth the money.
