That's cool. I used to have a headset that picked up my voice from inside the ear years ago for my StarTac. It worked great, and people told me it sounded clearer than when I used the handset. I am eager to see how much this is going to cost. -Jay
That, I presume, is the "Uhura" earpiece you alluded to a while back. It's neat-looking, but given the relatively short talk time (1.5 hours - that's almost as bad as a CDMA phone!), I'll hold onto my H300 for a while.
Where do you get 1.5 hours? Here's what Motorola says about it: And yes, I am waiting to hold my ear, rub my thigh and say "All hailing frequencies open..." :rotfl: -Jay
Oh, ok. I don't see what the diffence is though. If you can get 7.5 out of it with that charger, why not use that charger all the time? -Jay
Hey you are the Moto expert ...not me. ...LOL From what I have read the portable charging base is to re-charge the head set on the fly and also to protect it when the headset is not in use. So it doesn't seem like you could use it with charger. Maybe bonorific will jump in and clarify it.
This uses a small case, which is about 3 inches tall maybe. This case holds the H5 and also recharges it. It takes about 20 minutes to fully recharge the headset. The case holds enough "charges" so that you can use the headset for 1.5 hours and then stick it in your pocket for 20 minutes, then talk again for 1.5 hours. You can repeat this process 5 times throughout the day. You then recharge the case like a normal phone using a wall charger.
Aha that explains, I was having trouble figuring out what "re-charge on the fly" actually was. This sounds really good and 20 mins is nothing. I am looking forward to it. Thanks very much bonorofic.
