Seems that AT&T started another price war for data plans. Those with current plans of 15G or higher can get their plans doubled. Verizon & Sprint chimed in with increased plans. http://androidandme.com/2014/09/news/att-is-offering-you-double-the-data-on-a-mobile-share-plan/ http://androidandme.com/2014/10/news/sprint-and-verizon-raise-data-limits-to-compete-with-att/
Yes, saw that the other day. If I had to take a guess, I would say that AT&T has figured they have the most multi-line plans at 10GB and are trying to upsell them, but that's cynic in me talking. As a 10GB plan user I have to admit, had we been using anywhere close to the limit I would certainly consider upping the plan (hey, three times as much data for $30/mo more). But given that it's pretty rare for us to exceed 5GB, I feel pretty secure staying with 10
And Verizon is joining the party. Verizon will update its site tomorrow. http://www.cnet.com/news/verizon-gets-in-on-the-double-data-action-with-own-promotion/
I was using nearly 10Gig because it was (for a few months) my only internet connection. But after maxing out several times, went and got Comcast internet at my house. Now, I barely use 2Gig on AT&T so it really is not a good buy for me either.
