With Nextel's DC can your voice be heard in more than one handset just like walkie-talkies?

    Hi every one...long time,

Just thought I'd drop in and clear-up a couple things (1) Direct Connect is not always free, it is bundled into the rate plan ranging from 0 to unlimited DC minutes (billed by the second).
(2)As far as Privacy on the DC side, it is digital, and unscanable (as anything can be) Lawinforcement love Nextel for the privacy, it changes its ID every few seconds. (3)It is not a walkie-talkie, even though it feels like one. DC allows you to DC ANYONE in the same market, ANY other Nextel user. And soon stage 2 will be out allowing users to use their DC With-in other markets. The roll-out for Horizinal (stage 3) will be here within 12 month, allowing users to DC anyone any where CA to NY. Nextel is a 4 way unit, phone, guaranteed numeric pager, radio, and internet. Those are the basic's.........How would you like to send PO's, invoices, timecards from your cell phone at no air time, well you can with Nextel On Line, using various business applications available. Contractors can calculate board feet needed to do a staircase, with StairCase software. The New Condor line is fully loaded with Java technology. I use Nextel, SPCS and AT&T. The Nextel sound is superior to any (if you can find an antennae LOL) and PPL in noisy environment can actually hear the speaker phone. I have to hold my Sprint to my head on SpeakerPhone.
Don't get me wrong Nextel has problems like any other, mostly with LACK of antennaes, I hope we get some Roaming agreements soon. And since May 8th billing and customer service have been hopeless, but that should be solve soon. Nextel tore down down and rebuilt their DATA base from May 8th to the 14th, what a mess, but hang in there, issues Are being resolved.
