I hope you enjoy your new service since I don't regret switching to Verizon from Sprint. ;)

You are now officially "IN"!!! :thumb:

I have had Verizon Wireless for over 11 years (over several name changes/mergers, that is) and have been very pleased with them.

Good luck with your service, and Welcome to VZW! :D

Glad you're aboard. I too have been a satisfied customer for about 5 years. Before that Sprint wasn't bad for me but Omnipoint was... talk about terrible back in those days.

    Welcome to Verizon Wireless!

Get the 3200 replaced, don't even bother calling CS, just go to the store where you bought it. I personally think the 3200 is a cheap phone and a friend of mine has had problems with it, especially RF wise.

  8. Should I exchange it for another 3200... or switch to something else?.. If anyone is still reading this... write back because im doing this in the morning and need some input lol

  9. Ohh.. and yes, being "IN" is AWESOME.. lol.. I'm gonna save soo much money. Half the time when I traveled out of Eloqui's area I was roaming on VZW..and most of the calls I made were to other VZW customers. I will never have a 400 dollar phone bill again :D..

You could see if they have the vx3300 that just came out. Maybe it won't have all the vx3200 problems.

Well if you like the phone itself then just switch to a new 3200... it's a cheap phone and will, hence, not be perfect, but other than that Moto and Nokia phones usually work good. A VX 6000/6100 should also work better, but Nokia and Moto are RF leaders if this is important.

I would take your mom to the Verizon store where you bought your phones and have her look at Nokia, Motorola, and LG and see which ones she likes out of the companies.

    Good luck.

  15. We both went back to the store... and she said she didn't like the vx 3200 anyway.. we ended up trading for the samsung a650. (I didn't know... which one to pick but she picked/liked the samsung and since she was gonna be paying for her phone/activation fee, and for her share of the bill it didnt matter to me that much anyway!! lol. But thx for the suggestions.)

Cool. She doesn't mind the a650 doesn't have a outer screen?

I like that feature, because then you can see who is calling before you answer it....that is if you decide to answer it. It depends on who is calling you. :p

  17. she didn't really mention the outer screen thing. She didnt say anything about the 3200, but I think that she's happier with the Samsung phone. Since I got my vx 4400 w/ eloqui last year, and now my 6100 w/ vzw... i cant do without the outside screen!! lol

Glad everything worked out fine for you- I couldn't live without an outside screen as well :)

  19. I kind of thought that Verizon would be a little reluctant to exchange the phones.. but they were really nice about it, and got it all done fast and apologized for the phone messing up (a complete opposite from eloqui...)

I dont see why I didn't start out with Vzw. I can tell im gonna be very happy with them for years to come.. like many of you other guys with Vzw.

That's good. As long as she is happy with her choice. That is all that matters. ;)

One of the things I have appreciated many times about Verizon is how nice and easy they make it for you to exchange your phone. I'm very happy they do it that way.

Occasionally you will run into buttheads either in the store or on the phone, but more often than not, you will have good experiences. Even those "buttheads" aren't really all that bad, it's just their personality. Hopefully you won't ever run into a really bad rep (or situation, for that matter).

Overall I am quite happy with Verizon, and I think you will be too. :D

  27. ^^Edit:
The LG phone they gave my mom that originally came free w/ my phone was, i believe, a 3300. I think they came out in stores maybe the day or a few days before I went to get my service, i didnt really pay attention they both look kind of the same. well bottom line it was the 32 or 33, it still messed up and we got rid of it... lol sorry for the misprint if there is one im just not really for sure which one it was.
