OK, just got my Curve. I didn't read the destructions, and turned it on before fully charging it (I don't see what having it fully charging would do, aside from provide AT&T with some CYA). I'm getting a "Sim Card Rejected" error and all calls fail. This is really screwing me because my AT&T account has already been activated, meaning my Verizon phone is now dead. That means I have no cell service because that was my only phone (land lines are for sissies) I've removed/reseated the battery and Sim Card that came with the phone, all to no avail. And of course, AT&T customer service cheerfully tells me to call back at 8am because they're closed. On top of all this is the fact that I'm catching a flight out-of-country tommorow afternoon, and I'd REALLY like to have some phone service while I'm on the road. Any suggestions, or is this going to turn out how I think - I'm going to have to go to an AT&T retail store tomorrow morning and get this fixed? -silks
Most likely you'll want to go to the corporate store tomorrow to make sure everythings alright, they may give you a new Sim Card. The only suggestion I can come up with is make sure the sim card is inserted correctly.
if you listen to the whole recording there is another number to dial for after hours tech support...(866) 801-3600
Yeah go into the COR store or call ccare. Sounds like the SIM card isn't activated. That's usually what happens when you get the "SIM card rejected error" or it's just not reading the SIM.
