Cingular must really like installing flagpoles at Elementary Schools here in Sandy now. This site is located at Willow Canyon Elementary School, 9650 S. 1700 East, in Sandy. It's the second site Cingular is in the process of installing at an Elementary School here in Sandy within the last month.

I have attached a before picture prior to this installation, they basically installed a thick, white flagpole here now. I visited this site today and the construction is not completely done yet and I don't think the site is active yet.

They must have made a good deal with the school board to put these flagpole towers up to improve coverage.
It's good that they are getting to do this, alot of schools don't because of parents.

I agree that it is good they are doing this. Schools/Districts can always use the additional money, and nobody really notices, other than the fact that the flagpole is not thicker and white.
On a side-note though. This site seems weird...Cingular's network is set up weird here in the Salt Lake Area. They have a lot of two-sector only sites, leaving out the third sector, which results in not so good coverage in that area. They are only now finally starting to fill in those places where they left out the third sector on a different site...why not just throw up panels on the third sector(from the beginning)??? It would be cheaper and coverage would even be better in some areas. I don't get it....
