i was told when i signed up (i got the 1000text 79.00 plan) that
i could text, pic text, for no extra $'s that it is deducted from my 1000
shared voice min. is this true? we'll never use 1000 voice min.
but i would like to send pic's of my new grand daughter.

It is just deducted from your 1000 texts in your plan, no extra cost. Not from your voice minutes but from your allotment of 1000 texts. Of course if you go over that then it would be something like 15 cents a message.

When I signed up with Alltel two years ago they charged minutes for ANYTHING data, including MMS. I thought this was still the case. If so it will charge you for one MMS (that will come out of your message bucket) and then also airtime for the time each picture sent/received.
