    New 3G Samsung Sprint Models.....N400 & A500

Hey....I have the Samsung N200 and am not too thrilled with the performance in weak signal areas. I know other people with Sprint that travel the same route as me and have fewer dropped calls than I do in certain areas. I think it is because my phone isn't as sensitive as other models are. I certainly don't think my phone is a dud, because for the most part it works well, just not as well as some other models I have observed.

Does anybody have any idea if the new Samsung models, the N400 3G phone for example, will work better in weak signal areas? Has the antenna been improved in any way, or will the newer Qualcomm chip inside help out? I would like to know if there will be an improvement in these models.

I would like to stay away from the Sanyo's, until they decide to upgrade their analog power output to the full power allowed, like most other manufactures do already. Does anybody know if the new replacement Sanyo 3G flip phone will work at full power in analog mode?

    Thanks,

    Brian

I have an n200 and n400 both. There is one room in my house that my n200 doesn't get service, but my n400 does [IMG] I rarely have trouble picking up a signal with my n400, so of course I gave the n200 to my wife.. HAHA

Got mine for $169... Great phone for the money. If you don't mind spending an extra $100 I recommend the A500, it has a much brighter screen and the colors are a little more impressive.

    Brian,

The new Sanyo 4900 does operate at full analog power. I believe it's the first and only Sanyo to do so. The upcoming 5300 might as well. I'm not sure on that one yet.

The N200 is known for lousy reception. If you have had bad experience with a samsung, I would recommend giving a different phone a try. I normally would suggest sanyos, but if you have already decided not to get a sanyo because of analog reasons, then you should try Audiovox. They are cheap and ugly (my oppinion). But perform well. But i still recommend a sanyo. Why not buy one and try it in the analog roaming areas that you travel to? I dont think its analog is as bad as most people exaggerate it to be. Thats why you should judge for yourself.

I had both the Sanyo 6000 AND the 6200 not only do I have to deal with the TAN on my ear from talking over 15 minutes but I didn't think it sounded all that hot too. I've had Thus far the ole Qualcomm, Sanyo 6100, 6000 and 6200, I-300 and now the A500 by Samsung. I am really liking the A500. Anyone have a complaints about this phone yet?
