need help with getting ringtones on phone.

    i have a motorola w315 alltel prepaid and im getting tired of paying $4 for every ringtone i buy, so i tryed getting ringtones off the internet but every time it texts me i either get no text or it tells me its not compatiable? is there any ringtone shop out there compatible for my phone?

    i read the manual that comes with it and it says its mp3 compatible? also whats 10char mean?

    Posts have to be at least 10 characters long. The word Nope with a period is only 5 characters - hence the "10char" to make it long enough.

    It can probably play ringtones or mp3 files but it won't apply them as ringtones because of the DMCA lockdowns.

    When did that start? My wife has an Alltel Samsung Hue with the same problem. I tried sending an e-mail with attachment to her phone in hopes that would work, but it didn't download the attachment.
    The reason i'm curious as to when the DMCA lockdowns started is that i'm pondering getting her a used E815 in hopes that will work.
