You can use the SK2 with T-Mobile with the $29.99 Sidekick data only plan.

You can't use it with Verizon's service because Verizon is a CDMA carrier and T-Mobile is a GSM carrier, the two technologies are incompatible. Looks like Matt's answer is what you're looking for.

and even if the Sidekick did work on Verizon which it doesnt and never will cuz its T-Mobile-exclusive..............the Sidekick requires special servers to be in the network that it is running off of for all of its features to work..........so the most you would get would be phone calls and maybe texting but no Web or PIX Messagin..........or any data prolli

You can either get a Sidekick plan only (since you already have the device) from a T-Mobile store or you can go to Sidekick prepaid if you won't be using it too much.

ohh alright i didnt realize that......yeah you can get a sidekick without the sidekick data plan........you can get it with just voice and pay-as-you-go data features............but if you want the most out of your sidekick you would want to get a sidekick data plan or get the prepaid sidekick plan which i think costs $1/day

    $1/day for:

    unlimited web browsing
    unlimited email
    unlimited instant messaging
    unlimited text messaging
    $.15/minute for nationwide calling

it can only be used at T-mobile-- its an exclusive device and willl not funcion on anyother carriers network as a sidekick. Just go into your local T-Mobile and you can get the sidekick only plan and you would have unlimited text and internet browsing.

yeah they have a data-only Sidekick plan........and a voice/data combo plan but you can also get it with a regular voice plan and it will work fine.........the sidekick will work on other networks but things like email and web-browsing would be completely disabled without the dedicated servers that the sidekick requires
