In most cases Alltel has the best network. Cellular One soon to be US Cellular is a good choice viaero wireless is not to bad as well. The national providers usally just do Omaha to Lincoln.

Alltel would be my top choice... they more or less have statewide coverage in Nebraska. Their rates are competitive, but not as good as, say, T-Mobile.

So far, my experience with Alltel (PRL1205) has been exceptional. The reception has been great. The only time it is weak is at the SD-MN border on I-90. I have used it in a large area with good luck! The nat'l plan of 1000mins w/ unlimited N&W for $49.99 is a pretty good too! Good luck! Another nice thing I've noticed is roaming on other carriers. It seems to grab the strongest signal and keep calls and text working.

Not only is Alltel the coverage leader, they also have outstanding prices. They have excellent roaming agreements, mostly with Verizon.

I've been with Alltel for around 10 years and have had just great service from them. I'm not saying there have not been problems, but they have always taking great care to fix them. As for coverage, the last time I was in that area, I had real good service.

Hello, I live in Omaha and happen to LOVE cingular.

T-Mobile is NOT available in Nebraska and cannot be purchased.

Most of the state is covered......except the places where all there is is cows!

If you belive that map is an accurate portrayal of Cingular's coverage......I have some ocean front property for sale in IA for you! :browani:

On a more serious note, I am familiar with Cingular's coverage in Northern Iowa and Southern MN. As long as you are on an Interstate or major highway your coverage is usually pretty good. However the map shows almost blanket coverage (in N. Iowa & South MN) as to include small towns and other lesser traveled highways. That is a great exaggeration to say the least. Thats not say I havn't noticed Cingular building out, but they are a couple years behind of what the map actually shows........in the area's I'm familiar with at least.

T-Mobile has towers in Nebraska and I am for sure they sell wireless service in Omaha and Lincoln markets.

Well, I reccommend Alltel, they have the best coverage there as of now. And I prefer their customer service and plans to pretty much all the others.

68502 (Lincoln) and 68137 (Omaha) show that T-Mobile sells service in both locations, as agentHibby said, and the T-Mobile Coverage Check shows pretty good signal in that area, as well.

Your best choices outside of the city is either alltel or verizon. I travel to Lincoln every xmas and have no trouble with cellone. A problem area is out in them hills on the eastern part.....maybe a wilson amp if your in that area would work.

There is no more CellularONE in Lincoln... they were purchased by Alltel and the Lincoln market was not divested like the rest of CellularONE's Nebraska markets were.

Your best bet for total Nebraska coverage is Alltel (or Verizon, since they're roaming partners.) Alltel has the most native coverage in Nebraska, however. If you only need coverage in the more major towns and cities, then you have a host of choices.
