Here is a document from the fcc. What I understand from it that NEATT is going to give Cingular the customers (on 31 Dec 2005). Then the customers are out of there contracts on 1 Mar 2006. At this time Cingular only be recieving customers and no network see footnote #34. Someone over at the howardforums has said that in some select areas north of Little Rock. VZW has been co-locating on NEAT's towers so maybe VZW will try to build the PCS licenses is markets that they don't have and build a strong network in NE Arkansas. There website for almost a year just a had a welcome letter and who they were (formerly AT&T Wireless in NE Arkansas). I think it was November that the website finnaly had wireless plans and other things. I am glad that NEATT is doing this the right thing and not have customers suffer like Suncom is doing right now.
Website as of Dec 16 2005 as all NEATT wireless customers are now Cingular. NEATT Wireless stores will stay open only for inquiries on to what is going on until Dec 30th 2005. No new activations, pay bills etc. www.neattwireless.com
At least they are giving their customers time to opt out of going to Cingular. Kind of sad, though, to see another one of the little guys go.
