I haven't noticed anything anything different besides the nice looking link inviting me to try AutoPay
Same here, i see nothing new with the my account page. I too see the auto pay new look. Hope that wasnt just it. Wonder what was improved?
Speaking of VZW pages, I just became victimized by Big Brother Verizon. My Picture Place Page was deleted (yep, I got an email telling me it was gonna happen and then another one that it did happen). Now the way I figure it, I'm paying for a service that includes this feature among others. How frequently I use it is my business. So, following this train of reasoning, if I don't use voice mail, or text messaging, or for that matter my phone for a period of time, but continue paying the bills as per my contract, Verizon may just terminate those services as well, while continuing to allow me to pay for services I think I have but in reality don't. These guys need to learn the definition of several words, including: hubris, cancel, portability, and switch.
Why did they delete your picture place page? As for the train of reasoning you posted, Yes that is part of the way the contract is written, they can remove services without it being an issue, as long as it doesn't cause you a "Material" change of contract. Basically, as long as they don't raise your plan price for the minutes you signed for or lower the minutes, they aren't breaching the contract.
I also created a "my picture place" on the Verizon website. I do NOT have a picture plan, only a camera phone. I received a text message about 2 weeks ago advising me: "1st notice. Your Pix Place account has been inactive for 150 days. Log onto www.vzwpix.com within 30 days or your content will be deleted". I DID log back into my account, so I guess I will have access for a while longer. I am not sure why you have to access it so often, in order to keep yourself registered. I DID find out something useful. I also have svc with Sprint & had sent Christmas pics to my phone from my PC (uploaded the pics to Sprint's website & sent as a text message to my Sprint phone). I made numerous attempts to send these pictures to my husband's VZ phone, but he never got them. I remember reading in another thread about VZ limiting the size of pictures. Once I uploaded the pics to the pix place at VZ, I was able to send the original pictures to my husband & he received them in no time! I guess I will be using Pix Place more often, now that I know in order to send a decent quality picture I have to!
Thanks. You are correct that they can make such changes IAW the terms and conditions of the service agreement. Naturally, I can "vote with my feet" and, for the first time since starting with this service (and Bell Atlantic Mobile, it's predecessor), I expect I will be doing just that and moving to either ATT or, more likely TMobile, whichever is the least prescriptive about my use of the services that I pay for. It's too bad that Verizon has become so dictatorial in their policies. I suspect that they will (are) loosing market share to some of the other providers, likely due to this very attitude. Brad
You know I think they did some thing to the billing side of things on the site. It was mostly on their end from what I know.
You guys have to brush up on history. LOL. Didn't you recognize the father of the first Russian revolution, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
there would be the Holocaust all over again............all cell phone companies are inferior except VZW.........
