My T720 software version is 1.2.22.19P, something wrong?

Discussion in 'MOTOROLA' started by Deleted member 58295, Nov 24, 2002.

  1. Just got my phone a few days ago from Radio Shack. The software version says 1.2.22.19P. Seems like everyone else's is 19C or D. Also my PRL was updated to 50068. What's going on? Is my phone from Mars? By the way, so far nothing wrong with this phone.

Yes, your phone is from Mars. I have never heard of 19P.

Motorola is actually working on a new technology from mars. Apparently martian R&D is light years beyond ours here on earth.

Are you sure it isn't 17p, instead of 19p? My phone, also purchased at Radio Shack to (insert snicker here) save me from having to drive all the way to the Verizon store, still has 17p on it.

  7. Yes exactly how I posted it 1.2.22.19P. I spoke with Verizon and they gave me the run around on it saying that the software version doesn't mean anything and that the PRL is what makes the difference. I don't know what's going on? Can I get this flashed or should I return it?

you shouldn't do anything. im sure it's just a misprint or if possible the latest 19 version for Verizon. Atleast alphabetically it is. 19c, 19d, now 19p? if the phone is working fine and perfectly, then keep it. otherwise i suggest return it to mars. I have 19c and I won't return it unless I start getting problems. So far, so good and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

  9. Ok here's what the people at the verizon store said. They said the newest software is 19C and that's if you're upgrading the software. The new phones are coming with 19P. Don't know if he was lying or not just doesn't know what he's talking about. Who knows. My phone is working fine so I guess I won't worry about until I start having problems. So far it works great. I'm on my third day of standby with the first charge.

I wonder if 19P enables any new features....
