@KevinJames, thanks for the great ideas. I just worry about giving someone a device that doesn't work properly. Imagine a young child about to conquer the world electronically when the devices freeze and/or crashes and looses all their scores. The trade-in price at Best Buy is $3.0, which tells you something.

@palandri, thanks. Three years back that's exactly what I would have done but since then migrating to Windows and Apple I have become used to the stability of the systems and not too keen on messing with custom ROMs. :)

It's been about a week since I got my Surface Pro 4 and I like it. The keyboard (with finger print reader) is surprisingly good to use, although it makes some noise while using it, but is quite sturdy.

It has an i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, and 128 GB storage. It gets attention in most meetings I attend after people got used to me bringing a MacBook Air to meetings (running Windows 10).

I do like the ability to tap the screen as needed and performance has been good. Battery life has been plenty for my daily use as I only bring it to meetings and coffee shops, with some additional use at home in the evenings. I leave the charger at home charge it in the evenings.

I just came back from a 3 week overseas trip. My Surface 3 behaved impeccably, it was also the easiest to connect to weak wifi.

The ease of being able to use SD cards and thumb drives were a definite plus, together with full Windows OS.

There has been quite a few updates and all appear to be for the better.

    So like Goldilocks observed:

My MBP is too much for everyday simple short time usage.
My iPad is not enough - limited by Safari/lack of full OS
    My Surface 3 is just right. :) :) :)

It appears that my "just right" might get replaced and be put on sale. :cautious:

@charlyee: Well don't leave us hanging. Tell us why? Was it cheating with a Mac? Or worse yet, was it filmed hanging out with Linux?

Lol, excellent question KJ but it is nothing that exciting or scandalous.

One of the main reasons that I got it was that a couple of work related websites did not work on iOS and needed a full OS, well they do now so it eliminates that reason.

With that being the case, I was rarely using it and didn't see much reason to hold on to it.

Just in case you are interested ;)
