Having had enough of my early series Sonos speakers without Airplay, I got an Apple HomePod for my birthday recently. Like last week ( it was a belated July birthday). Very , very impressed with it. Hey Siri equipped and a beautiful deep rich sound. Works seamlessly with my iOS devices for sending messages and phone calls, and my music library. Plus podcasts, pandora, Spotify SiriusXM and anything I steam to it. Just works! https://www.apple.com/homepod/ Sent from my iPhone XS using Tapatalk
I only play the HOTTEST music, dmapr! oh yeah, bad typo, my apologies. But good come back though. The pick up mics on this little guy are remarkable. Can be in the next room talking with people, and it picks up my command. impressive.
Gosh, did I really join WA in 2003, 16 years ago! So much has changed with phones, no? But I feel as young as then.
That's an issue I have with my Google Home Hub. We have it in the kitchen. That's where my wife wants it for recipes. If I'm in the living room and I say OK Google on my phone, the Google Home Hub responds. A few Google ads on TV makes it respond, How can I help you. Are you having any issues like that with the sensitivity of the mic on the HomePod?
Not really. I know it uses the iPhone to extend the range. But if I speak directly to my phone it seems to know I want the phone not the pod to answer. Probably from the increased volume. Sent from my iPhone XS using Tapatalk
