My Home college is in the top 25 does not get into the NCAA basketball tournament (witch has 65 team

    I go to Utah State [​IMG]

    They are a ranked team and did not get to the NCAA tournament. Only the NIT [​IMG]
    BYU gets in and they lost to Utah State [​IMG]

    They are better ranked better than 40 teams there and can't go!

    University of Pittsburgh, baby! They're going to win it all this year. (Sorry about your team, Hibby. Sometimes I don't know how the NCAA & BCS work because a lot of times the selections for the Big Dance and the Bowl Games don't make any sense at all.)

    hey but short lived is better than not lived at all [​IMG] well I am not so sure that is true, we did a pretty good job of ebarassing ourselves out there last night. Oh well, its not like we would have had a chance against Kentucky anyways...now ill just watch florida A&M get slaughtered by Kentucky and be happy!

    Last year UState almost beat Kansas last year. Kansas got lucky at the end.
    I remeber 2001 when Iowa State was a #2 seed and lost to a #15 seed LOL!! [​IMG]

    haha, yeah everyone here at lehigh was thinking about how great it would be if we not ONLY beat Kentuck but if we won the whole tournament ... how embarassed everyone would be ... but now i fear that dream is dead [​IMG]

    I think everyone agrees that Utah State was robbed. So now they need to go out and win the NIT (as the only ranked team they should be the favorite) and prove they were slighted.

    Sometimes when you know you should be in the NCAA and go to the NIT you lose your stuff and fall apart. Hopefully that won't happen.

    So Utah State lost 1st game at NIT: Hawaii 85 Utah State 74.
    I think the reason they could not deal with being robbed of the NCAA tourney
    Think fought hard last year and lost by 3 points to Kansas

    You may be right. People say that's what happened to K-State in football a few years ago when a loss in the Big 12 Champ. Game sent them from the BCS title game all the way to the Alamo Bowl, which they then lost to lowly Purdue. I am not so forgiving, and I think if you are a good team you suck it up, get mad, and go out and prove people wrong. While I still think Utah St deserved to be in the NCAA Tourney, their first round loss basically says the Committee was right. [​IMG]
