I have been fishing ever since but always on many of the inland lakes in WI & MN. Well Saturday I went river fishing on the WI river. We went with a guide on his boat, it was entirely different than lake fishing. I enjoyed it very much and specially enjoyed the fact that I caught the biggest fish of the three of us. Here are some pictures: Dave our guide is behind me and a picture showing the Dam that separates the Upper Dells from the Lower Dells.
hey thats great, i love fishing, glad you had a good time, remind me to show the fish i cought last year w/ a guide.
Charlyee, Beautiful pictures and great fish. I am not much of a fishing person, but I love being on lakes and rivers, with great scenary like that. About time you did something adventurous other then all those boring business trips! Thanks for the photos!
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320) Opera 8.50 [en]) This reminds me, I need to get my fishing licence. Trying a new style of fishing is fun. Growing up I did a lot of salt water peer fishing, but now it's river fishing. I can't wait to see the pics.... WOW! Beautiful, I wish I was there.
Man, that really makes me think about back growing up. I am originally from Minnesota, and down here in Arizona, we don't get the lake river fishing like that. Thanks for posting the photos Charlyee. Made my night!
JFB thanks, yes it is a very pretty area. That fish is a smallmouth bass. AZ, thanks. I am glad you liked the pictures. Budney, thanks. I would love to do salt water fishing, one of my fantasy is Blue Marlin. Joseph, thanks. I am way too competive to call fishing relaxing. If I didn't catch the biggest fish (or at least the most fish) I would have been just as upset as a bad day at work.. Steven, thanks. The scenary is truly beautiful. I have beeen fishing ever since I was old enough to hold a fishing rod steady.. . Actually my business trips are never boring and usually far more adventurous than a fishing trip can be, but you are right I need to do more of this. Scrumhalf thanks, I love the scenary also. I am a Bengali remember, fishing is in my blood... Ryan thanks, I thought you would appreciate it, I remember the picture of you with the Rainbow Trout. Chuikov, yes it certainly is, 19" on an ultra light it was wonderful playing it. Also caught a 23" Northern (not a keeper, 26" is the limit) with my ulta light with wax worm bait, huh didn't anyone teach him what to eat?. walkguru, thanks. Ok I am reminding you, show me the picture of the fish.
We haven't been fishing in a while. Used to go with my gp's camping to Sugar Bottom in W. MN. And my relatives live on Lake Sakakawea in NoDak. Awesome salmon fishing, before the drought. I've been in that part of the Dells & it's SOOO beautiful.
ok, here ya go, there were 4 of us at lake texhoma, last year, this is the ones we were allowed to keep, we had to throw 27 back.
Fish it is....ok fellas we're all going to Charlyee's for dinner....:yumyum: nice catch btw Charlyee.
I agree Tony! Go ahead and leave now..as it is a much shorter drive for me than you :O THAT is a nice river...I see that dam every year when we go up there Charlyee. Isn't that awesome you caught the biggest one? When me and my dad go fishing....and I catch the biggest...he gets so mad :O
our3rotts, I have heard a lot of good things about fishing in general in N Dakota, you are lucky to have relatives that live on the lake. I would love to go sometime.. walkguru, very nice, I have to remember to take a picture like that the next time. Quite a haul isn't it? Thanks for posting the picture. Tony & Shizam, ok you guys I am waiting, when is your ETA. I love fish fry coated with Italian bread crumbs, will that be ok with you two or do you have any special requests? Shizam, is that going to be too spicy for you and Tony is that going to be spicy enough for you........:lmao:
ya, thats the first time i ever took a picture of the fish. did you figure out which one is me. hint, i m taking the picture.:loony: he he.
Well....my ETA is about 2 1/2 hours.....Tony I think is about 2 1/2 DAYS? :O Oh no bread crumbs for me....I can't have bread.....gluten intolerant....the flour in bread would just make me miserable. I hope it isn't too spicy!
Nice fish & great pictures Charlyee, looks like you had fun. As for all of your unbelievable catch of fish walkguru very nice job indeed. I don't get to go fishing, so it's not 1 of my joys in life.
thanks, fire. like charlyee, ive benn fishing since forever, and evertime i cought something really nice. someone would get one bigger, better, whatever. so my bud matt, comes up with the guied idea, i had never done that in my life, but thought what the heck. so we go out, and really had a blast, worth ever penny.
Thanks Fire, yes we had a great time and infact booked another one for July. What do you mean by "I don't get to go fishing" ? You sound like a lamenting little boy saying "I don't get to cross the street".............:lmao:
Lol, I'm not a fish lover but if someone sends me an invitation, I'd consider coming . Would you go fishing for larger fish, Charlyee?
I guess I am the little boy that can't cross the street. :lmao: It's not a big thing for me to go fishing, guess the lack of it as a "Little Boy" is one of the reason's I don't really like or try to do it.
