also i believe net10 uses cingular, and tracfone. those are the 2 major ones i can think of, im sure there are smaller ones.
I'm quite sure my mom's old tracfone was CDMA. I think they sell both CDMA and GSM phones depending on the market. -Jay
could be, i know tracfone local to me is ATT. also another one that is an ATT MVNO is Farmers...though they do have some network that is theirs in rural NE Alabama, but they just became ATT native coverage too...so some deal was worked, i dunno what.
Depends where you are. In my area Net10 only offered CDMA phones that work on Alltel. But in some stores you can by the GSM version of both Tracfone and Net10 (same company different marketing approach)
In my area, Tracfone is/was CDMA (not sure about Tracfone since I haven't had prepaid since 2003) and Net 10 is definitely GSM.
must depend on available spectrum. interesting. ive already figured out that somehow there is an abundance of available 1900mhz for ATT in my area. we are going to have EDGE and 3G here and tracfone uses ATT here and we only have 1900mhz and thats it.
My area was Cellular One (Dobson) and on the Net10 site for my zip only showed the CDMA phones, but in some stores in my area you could by both. Another note in my area at some of the chain stores Dollar General, Rite Aid, Walgreens etc you could by Go Phone but there was no ATT coverage.
I organized MVNO's into a web site, this could probably help you.. Let me know if something is wrong or outdated. MVNO's are always changing, it's hard to keep up :O MVNOlist.com
Is the link for Jitterbug larger on your site so seniors can read the link without their glasses? -Jay
Ha-ha, good idea ...speaking of them, I just looked at their site and they say: "We have agreements with over 33 different carriers across the country including three of the largest " Senior Cell Phones | Easy To Use Cell Phones | Emergency Cell Phones ....i'm kind of confused "3 largest" would be Sprint, Verizon and US Cell? (Jitterbug is only CDMA, right?) What's the other "33 carriers"?? PS- Love their "senior-oriented" phones PPS- For the "Politicaly Correct Police": I'm just messing around. I have a grandma and I love her too
Consumer Cellular is an MVNO operating on AT&T/Cingular's service. "RadioRaider" : I don't think you've got this one on your list. Mike Edit: P.S. You'll see advertisments for 'Consumer' occasionally on this site.
