Music ringtones?

    Can anyone educate me on music ringtones? What format are they? Can I make my own from an mp3 or wma?
    What software would I need?

    You'd need some application like a the one at myphonefiles. Don't want to turn it into a shameless plug, but it really gives you a complete set of tools and makes it easy to use. This is assuming your phone can handle that type of ringtones. Many new phones do. For example Verizon phones (i.e. VX6000) do just fine, so does any Sprint PCS Vision phone, as well as some Nokia phones (3650, 7650, N-gage, etc.)
