Hello everyone, I'm new to the cell phone thing and not the best with computers and gadgets. I did buy the lg virgin mobile 510. I tried to download (sync) music to my new phone thinking it would go to media player, but when I clicked on media player on phone it said no content. Computer told me all downloaded. Well I ended up finding the music under a file called music. So I clicked on there. Sure enough there they were, but ehen I clicked on the songs it said file not supported. Do I have to download something else to play music?

Music needs to be placed on a microSD (memory) card. The supported file formats are MP3, WMA, AAC, M4A. The AAC music file format is the most size efficient, in my opinion (so you can get the most songs on a memory card). Any other format won't work, and unless you know how to modify a phone, trying to make an incompatible music file format work could kill the phone, so there's nothing to download. You'll have to modify your music files to one of the supported formats. The phone's (trans-flash) memory card slot can handle up to a 32GB card.

Your user manual has all this information. Attached is a link to it below:
