    Hi guys, been a while...
I have a PPC-6700 now and want to switch to the Motorola Q but have heard the Q drops a lot of calls. Can anyone share their Q experience in regards to dropped calls.

    Thanks,
    aje

I would like to know where you heard that from? My Q has served me well (even with it's bugs), RF and sound quality are great. The only dropped calls I have had are from weak signal or network issues. I have not tried/used my Q since the newest update (MOL 3). The update is suppost to improve battery life & fix a few bugs.

A friend (who is bias toward Verizon) was telling me this. I just wanted to make sure before I tried to switch as I don't really have "Phone" isues with the 6700. However it is probably a moot point as I can't get an upgrade since I am only 5 months into my contract. Unless someone in these forums has one they want to get rid of fairly cheap. I may grab one off Ebay, then again I may just try and stick it out, who knows.

Well as of right now I am not getting the Q  However due to my 6700 calibration messing up on me I have to get a warranty replacment. Since they aren't offering the 6700 anymore they are sending me a 6800. So we'll see, maybe I will be happier with that?

Yea, sorry about that. I didn't want to be that guy but I thought I needed to make a decision the day I posted so I wanted to try and get a reply as quickly as possible.

Yeah if you have the mogul I would keep that as well over the 6700 or Q

Well I activated the Mogul today. Man this thing is so much nicer than the 6700. I guess I will use it for a while and see how I like it. However it slides open opposite the 6700, so I am having to get used to that. Everything just seems backwards, but nothing I can't get used to or anything.

I am glad it is working good for you. LOL I bet you wont even turn back to look at the Q. The only thing that the Q has on the mogul is the slim factor. Please let us know how it works for you also let me know if you have any questions about.
