Hello all. I just purchased a display model V60i from local CompUSA and they do not have the box for it nor any booklet (i was a really good deal) and there is no sticker on the back. Is there a way to find out the ESM number from the phone? I know the Nokias can go into the menu and find out serial number and ESM number... I need to use this phone on AT&T network and I need to get the ESM number. Thanks for help.
If you mean ESN (electronic serial number) its menu --> phone status --> other information --> ESN. If you mean ESM, i don't know what that is.
inside menu-> phone status -> all i see if "My Tel Number" and "Battery Meter".... nothing else, no other information. Jeff
You can always dial some unique number, like 123456789, then call AT&T and ask them to run a search in the switch by dialed digits for that number. The call record in the switch would should what ESN is being transmitted from the phone.
The phone has never been activate.... I need to use it to replace my old 8260, AT&T will not activate the phone without ESN number. In Nokia, there are some keystrokes I can type to get the ESN number, is there any other way to get it in Motorola? Jeff
It doesn't need to be active to dial out some weird number and then have AT&T search for the dialed digits and pull the ESN out of the call record.
Hit pound 04101 pound star key then hit send put in 0000 default passcode esn view option should come up if doesnt work repeat again but faster..... thats ATT soft program method for the V60 TDMA handset
