yeah it is.. sadly the pricing sucks... and the V3c has dropped down to like 39.99 but only if you get it online... otherwise its the same as the V3m Silver
I still dont get why Alltel and Midwest are going to have the V3c AND the V3m AND the K1m going against each other. It makes my job a because when people ask about the differences, there aren't that many!
Alltel pretty much stopped selling the V3c when the V3m was launched, so only the V3m and K1m are directly competing. Some sales offices still have their remaining V3c stock leftover and the online website (run through Let's Talk) still has the V3c but you can't get them from Alltel Customer Service anymore. There is a price difference, the V3m being $99.99 for silver and $129.99 for fire red and the K1m being $249.99, so you get pretty much the same features but depending on which phone you prefer, you will pay a different price. As far as differences go... the V3m has expandable memory and a media player, ditto the K1m. K1m also has external, touch-sensitive MP3 player controls and updated voice-dialing features. K1m is the better phone, IMHO. Sound quality far exceeds that of the RAZR, V3c or V3m. If people asking about the differences between handsets, "makes [your] job a ," perhaps you should find a new job. I very much enjoy discussing the minutiae of wireless handsets.
I love my job to much to find a new one! I just find it overly redundant to keep the V3c hanging around like midwest wants to do!
I agree. I don't know why Midwest Wireless wants to keep the V3c around when the V3m has more features and is roughly the same size. I was confused as to why Alltel would want to do that but learned today that they aren't. Either way, the KRZR is the better phone... e815 is better still, but it doesn't look as "cool."
I wish we could get the e815. EV-DO is becoming a reality with Midwest (introduced with the V3c) and people with the v710 would love to upgrade. I had a customer come in and ask about it just the other day. One question though, is that still using the 3 pin prong for the charger?
Yes, the Motorola e815 uses the fabled two-prong Motorola charger. I haven't had as many problems with it as other people have, but that's probably because I've been careful with it. My v620 is starting to not charge right off the bat with the two-pronger and I have to wiggle it to get it to connect when I'm at work. At home I have a desktop charger which gets a good connection every time.
Thats good to hear. We get alot of complaints about that charging system! Especially since we had the v266 for our free phone last promo. When we tell them they have to take care of their phones its like its the first time they have ever heard it!
