Someone claiming to have an internal Alltel document on the All Wireless Talk.com forums is saying that the CDMA V3c RAZR will be released for Alltel on 11/21/2005. This is at least a week before Verizon's rumored release date. In addition, the thread indicates that VZW has actually pushed the CDMA RAZR back to the end of 2005 or beginning of 2006 so Alltel may have the RAZR as much as two months before Verizon. Who would've seen that one coming?
Got an email this morning about this press release. Alltel to Offer Motorola RAZR V3c; Watch Live Television with New CDMA EVDO Handset http://phoenix.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=74159&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=784199&highlight=
Current Alltel pricing for the Motorola V3c is as follows: $199.99 with a two-year contract $259.99 with a one-year contract $364.99 with no contract
You're telling me... now I just have to wait until January to see what the deal is to get that thing on an employee plan.
I just got the V3C and it is great, but at this time you can't download anything on it. Alltel says they know and are working on it. So who knows when they will get everything up and running. But still a great phone.
I have the V3C and I am able to download things without any problems. Must be a problem in your local area?
I just got a V3c (Alltel), and can't connect via USB. I have PhoneTools 3.28, and Alltel right now isn't selling/supporting PhoneTools. My PC isn't recognizing the device. Could be a funky cable, but I don't really think so. I've emailed Motorola, no response yet. Anyone connected with USB yet?
I use bluetooth to transfer files between my computer and my V3c. It has worked without any problems.
It's working now. Found out if you talk to the right person @ Alltel they know what is going on with this phone. If apps is not working on your phone. Call and ask Tech service to check and make sure that you have the apps code on your phone. Even if you had this on a older phone, I found out it don't always make the move to the new phone for some reason. When they add this code, turn off the phone and than power it back on. It should work after that. Talked to a friend who just got a V3C this morning and he told me he was having this problem and had to call and have this code added too. Hope this helps someone.
