The v330 is a pretty cool phone. It's a quad band phone that has EDGE & Bluetooth. Do you know why it has so many designations? (v551, v330, v547, v555 & v557.)

Yeah, it's listed as 3.75 hours (225 minutes) of talk time and 225 hours (9.4 days) of standby time. The weird thing is that it's standby time is on par or longer than most other Motorolas on phonescoop right now but they have nearly double the talk time! Maybe it's just a misprint or something. My e315 is listed as 3.50 hours (210 minutes) of talk time and 200 hours (8.3 days) of standby time and I only have to charge my phone every 4-5 days so I think the v330 is probably comparable to my phone, based on their similar listings.

The v330 will be $149.99 with no rebates for new customers and upgrades.

It will be available for upgrade customers on Wed., May 18.

There is also a $50 rebate if you buy the v330 HS820 Bluetooth headset.

The phone is available in the T-Mobile To Go for $199 - not sure if that is part of a starter pack or not.

I'm glad they are going to have the phone with the To Go service. Is the v330 going to look any different then the v551, I know they are the same phone, but I want something different then what everyone else has around here.

Well, if it doesn't you can always get different faceplates for it. That's what I'm planning on doing with my v600 when I get it. Probably getting the mirror black faceplates from metalfaceplates.com, they're pretty expensive but they're powder coated metal OEM face plates so I'm thinking they will last a while, not like the cheap plastic, non-OEM v600 face plates I've seen on some websites. I haven't seen anything on that site for the v330 but there may be in the future, although I'm not sure how the v330's faceplates come on and off (or even if they do) so you may be out of luck. There's always cool parts to mod your phone if you look hard enough and don't mind voiding your warranty. There was a pretty cool thread over on HoFo that had pics of the mods people had made to their Motorolas... there is some crazy stuff in that thread.

Modding a v330/551 isn't to hard, you just need to pop out the rubber covers on the inside of the phone and undo the screws. If the phone is the same, I can live with it. I'm more concernd with the software for the phone. The v551 was very slow and kind of buggy, and their isn't a good OEM flsh for it yet. I am still thinking of picking up a v600, just because their is some good OEM software to flash it with.

I can attest to that. My OEM V600 software works very well. I have been very happy with the phone since I flashed and flexed it.

Checked earlier this morning and the V330 was nowhere to be found. Just checked again now, and there it is!!! The current price is $199 (contract) with a $50 "Instant Web Rebate". Looks good. Now if only T-Mobile would add more new phones...... :headscrat

Wow, the v330 looks just like the v300. T-Mobile CSR told me it would be grey, not blue. Weird. At least it's got Bluetooth.

That's funny you should mention the grey color. The dummy V300 at our Wal-Mart is grey, not blue. I'm just glad it dosn't look like the V551, but I bet a lot of T-Mobile users are a bit unhappy with the looks (another V300).
