Which do you guys think is the better phone? I know the T720 is newer, but my company is giving me the option of keeping my T720 or switching to the Timeport. From what I undertand, the Timeport is the updated version of the Startac and it is supposed to be a very reliable phone. However, it doesn't have the cool stuff that the T720 has. Recommendations?

I have the Timeport 8767 and to me it is the best phone I ever had. Great signal strength and the volume in the ear piece is fantastic. Of course I broke about 6 antennas but they were easy to replace. I never had the 720 but a couple of my friends do and they said they would never buy another one. Thats what they said. I never had the pleasure of using one and forming my own opinion.

    Hope this helps some.

i used to have the Startac (Basically the same as Timeport). I now have the t720 w/Verizon. While I am frustrated and dissappointed by VZW's choking of the features the t720 has to offer, the features that are available and the ability to "Get Around Get it Now" are more than enough to keep me satisfied. I would say that it comes down to what you need out of your phone. If you just need something to talk on and bells and whistles don't impress you than get the timeport. If not, keep the t720. Or put off the decision until bigger and badder phones come out..

I had a Timeport 8767 for two years before I got the T720. No doubt about it: I was seduced by the T720's "bells and whistles." And the 720 is a bit more compact. But: if all you need/want is a reliable phone with excellent performance, the Timeport is an excellent choice. And ya know, I don't play games on my phone, the ringtones get a bit boring after a while, the screen's not really that colorful...maybe I shoulda kept the 8767. But wait; I'm Style Guy, so I couldn't.
