I just purchased an unlocked Moto RAZR V3. It is branded Cingular, and I have a Cellular One account. I popped in my SIM card and everything is working fine but I cannot get a connection through the browser. It says "Connection unsuccessful, try again later."

I was wondering if I need to change some settings for my Cellular One service.

    Any help is appreciated!
    Thank you,
    Kurt

The Razr is a GSM phone, Cellular One is CDMA. I don't believe it will work.

Cell One switched over to the GSM Network about a year and a half ago. I just switched from a Nokia GSM phone that had web capibilities.

    Thanks.

    Wrong! Both are GSM.

I believe it's as simple as a phone call to customer service to activate that service. I don't think the phone has anything to do with your inability to access the web.

Let me know how that goes.

Since it's a Cingular branded phone your browser is set to Cingular's settings..

you will need to enter new or edit your current Cingular browser settings to that of Cellular One.

CellularONE-Western Wireless= mostly CDMA (TDMA in a few areas) and GSM roaming for other providers.

    CellularONE-Dobson Cellular Systems= GSM

A Cingular-branded Motorola V3 RAZR will work on Dobson's network because they are a GSM carrier... otherwise, where would monsty have gotten a SIM card? CellularONE-WWC doesn't use RUIMs.

Man, when I hear Cellular One I realize how old I am. Here in NYC they were one of the first, if not the first, "A" service companies.

    Hello everyone!

I'm having a similar problem as well.
I purchased an unlocked motorola razr and I'm unable to access the phone's browser.
I have cingular service and I found out through a friend at cingular that the phone I purchased is not only a t-mobile phone but a european t-mobile unlocked razr.
So I was wondering is there any way to get the browser working or am I just "sol"?
If anyone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks for your time!
