Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

I am using a V3M on Verizon, and for the past 24 hours my phone has been going a bit haywire. First off, I charged my phone with a regular phone charger via an outlet, and the battery died overnight. I woke up to my phone being completely off. Then, I realized that my reception has been going on/off all the time. As of right now, my phone is sitting on a table and it has full reception, but about 10 seconds later, it will drop to having no bars of reception at all, and the phone has never moved. I normally have full reception everywhere, especially in my house. What on earth is going on with my phone here?!

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

i have been looking for hours at forums trying to figure out how to get ringtones on my v3m. Could someone just point me to an answer or give me a quick one here. I would be grateful.

I have a USB cable and a micro-sd card. I have messed with bitpim, but cannot connect. To use mp3 ringtones, can I just copy the files somewhere onto the micro-sd card and they will show up on my ringtones list? Do I have to copy them to the phone's memory? Is it even possible to do without buying additional software? If you need more info to help, just ask. Thanks again.

    EDIT: I am with Alltel.

I have been trying to link my V3M Razr to my Palm T3. I have had some success but I cannot find anywhere that would list the Initialization string for the phone. Also if there are any other tidbits of info that someone can help with it would be great.

    Thanks

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Is there some way to get my Verizon Razr 3m to connect to a Non verizon cell tower?
There is a T-Mobile tower as well as a Cingular tower outside my office but no verizon tower anywhere near.
How do I get my verizon phone to connect to a different tower?

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

What do you mean, "will not unlock?" Do you mean that you do not have the subsidy code for the phone or that the phone lock is activated and you cannot remember the lock code?

If it is the subsidy (carrier lock) you are referring to, you'll have to get that from Sprint because they are the only ones who have it and, probably, they won't give it to you.

Make sure you have the most up-to-date version of MPT, I think it's 4.0 or 4.1 or something.

    However...

I've heard that some Sprint versions of the RAZR are not able to use MPT. They locked that functionality in some models so you could be out of luck.:(

Subtitle: How does second line work on v3c?

    Hello,

I have a V3c purchased when Verizon first started offering them and was interested in getting a second line (second phone#).

It appears the phone supports it, but looking through the setup, it says 'active line'. Does this mean only one line can be active at once? That doesn't seem too useful.

Anyone have a second line on their v3c? Can you describe how it works?

    Thanks,

    -john

    MPT Updates:
Have the MPT update 4.36 looking for the 4.54 update? Got this answer from MOTO.
("Regarding your inquiry, live update will get you the latest software version but if you are unable to get 4.54 then if you provide us with the order number for Phone Tool then we can send you a link so you can get this version.")
    Bought my software on ebay.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Hi,i was wondering if im the only person having this problem. I recently flashed my vzw razr v3c to the alltel 4.04 customer upgrade firmware, got all the data stuff fixed, and went over it many times to make sure i did everything correct, and flashed 3 times,to make sure i didnt miss something...ok the problem is with my Mobile IM,i can connect to GIN download the Mobile IM and sign in and everything fine, but when typing you can space... the # key wont space in the alltel firmware for some reason,i did notice that when sending a text message that * is used for spacing on alltels firmware, maybe thats the problem, its opposite on verizon, even so,is there any kind of seem edit or fix for this issue? does anyone here actually have Mobile IM working fully on alltel firmware? thanks in advance...:)

Hi I have a Razr V3c and I've gone through the process of getting it connected. I put a clip of a song on there by syncing it with Windows Media Player and it transfered fine. But is there anyway I can make it into a ringtone? That's the whole reason I transfered it. Any help is appreciated. :)

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Hello! I am having the same problem as many of you. I got my Pink Razr V3m three days ago and have spent three days trying to get my PC to recognize the phone. Three hour-long calls to Verizon tech support - the first tech was clueless, the second put me on hold for 40 minutes until I hung up, and the third put in a "trouble ticket" or some such thing, then called me back and told me to take my computer to a service center! Anyway, I have been haunting the forums and have tried every download and every suggestion I can find. I have gotten it to recognize the phone as a modem while turned off, but it will still not recognize it as a music player. Every time I try the sync I get "connection failed." This is so freaking frustrating, I could scream.

I am running XP Pro with SP2 and Windows Media Player 10, which everything indicates should work. Does anyone know how to fix this????? Please help!!!

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

My question is: How do i get windows media player 10 to sync with my Razr v3m's microsd? Is there any website that gives you the tools so that the two can get recognized and be compatible? I tried one, adn got to where wmp recognizes my phone, butonce i try and sync the song from my computer to the phone, i get a message saying:

Error: Windows Media Player can not play the file. if the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If teh problem persist, the server might not be available.

I'm going directly from wmp, and haven't typed anything in. These songs are on MY computer. Can anyone help me, please? Thank you!!

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

I ordered this software and it does exactly what it says it does. I already have MPT and a cable, so I just ordered the Bonus CD. Basically, it does the same thing suggested on this forum in regards to SEEM editing. The only difference is that the SEEM files needed are already on the disc and edited. You just move them to the phone. It does give 3m users (Verizon) access to the Multimedia Center on MPT. The disc also has ringtones, wallpaper, etc. Paid $14.95, free shipping. Clear, concise instructions included. Very simple way to do it if you don't mind spending the cash!

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

well it depends which service provider (SP) you have right now and which you want to go to. For example: some SP's have sim cards such as t-mobile and some don't. If your current SP has one and you are moving to one that doesn't then NO most likely you wont be able to. how ever if you are the exact opposite as said above, that is if you dont have a sim card and your new one doesn't either then I would take it to the new SP before trying to seem edit it. See if they will help you out. Most likely they could just flash the firmware to their own firmware.

I took it to my new SP (Sasktel)and they told me they couldn't provide service because it was locked to Telus, Telus guy said they wouldn't unlock it. Sounds fishy so was wondering if there was a flash program that I could get to wipe it clean, then Sasktel tell could flash it with there firmware. Must be a way to do that, I'm just not up on this stuff. Anyone that can help out there? Thanks
