    You have verizon? If so, go to Main Menu>Settings & Tools>Device Info>Storage Devices>TF Card>Format

    Or something close to that.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

I've been reading threads all day long, and have d/l'd PKSeem, BitPim, MSU and MPT. All are the most recent versions as far as I can tell.
I have not had any success trying to get PKSeem to do anything!

Iam not sure if OS is the problem or not, I am running Vista.
MPT does conect but without the MSU(not for Vista) is there anything I can
    do?

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

You need PST running in order to connect to PST. MSU does not work for Vista, as you said, so you're stuck with PST. This means you'll have to troubleshoot your issues with PST before getting p2k programs to work. Have you downloaded PST? If so, open it up and test to see if it's connected to your phone by going file/new and choose phonebook, then phone/read and if it gives you an error, PST is not connected, and that's the problem. There is a patch that goes along with PST to get it to work. You need to put the patch file in the PST file in your program files or wherever you installed PST to. Then run it. It'll install six patches, and then you should be good to go.

Keep in mind that p2k programs need PST running, but non p2k programs like bitpim and MPT do NOT need anything in the background. Sounds like you have MPT working, although you'll need seem edits to get it up and running to its full capabilities.

Ya, thanks I did a surch for MSU and some how went to install GSM Soft server and some how it gave me drivers and P2KSeem found the phone:loony:
I hurried and did the seem edits, grabed the wifes and did the same.
Now everything is working. Not sure what I did!

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Hm... well, like I said, MSU doesn't work with Vista so that's a dead end. It's possible that some GSM programs will put the phone into the right mode to connect with p2k programs, however for future connections to p2k you might want to stick with programs designed for CDMA phones.

Can you give us a little more details so we can help? What exactly are the problems you're running into, error messages, etc?

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Does any have trick to change and remove the color bar in above and below the Verizon Red-orengish line? I have light blue bar above the orenge line to show the status of ringer, and gray transparent line to show the date and time. same in top of screen, gray transparent line where "Verizon" were before seem edit. these like just takes space and reduces the space to desplay the wallpaper. similar to the outer LCD. whitish color to display the status of ringer... if you have any advice, please let me know.

also how can i change the font of time and date in both inner display and outer?
    thank you to the experts.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

If only there were a way to change those red bars! But the only way right now is to flash to the Alltel firmware which gives you the standard moto user interface which is blue and also fully skinable so you can change it to look a million different ways. There's a PARTIAL blue bar edit over at www.hacktherazr.com but it only changes the bars for certain parts of browsing through menu's.

What are you looking to do to the time and date? There's a seem to make it not auto update but I don't know if that'll do what you're looking for. You can also add military time but you have to disable auto update along with the military time thing to get it to work.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

I've never heard someone want to change those without wanting to change the red ones, I'm pretty sure it's impossible, however you might be able to hunt down that blue bar somewhere in the file system - doing that takes a REALLY long time though, it's probably a .bar file and you'd have to save it to your computer, open it with a program that can, view all the stuff inside, then move to the next one. And pretty sure they grey ones won't go away.

My Razr V3m's Verizon V CAST manual frequently asked questions state:

"Q. How can I transfer purchased music from my PC to my V CAST Music phone?

    A. Music can be transferred using your V CAST Music phone's USB cable."

What USB phone cable? Mine never included one!

Nope, the cable does not come with the phone. This is not at all surprising, you have to buy quite a bit of things in addition to the cost of the phone to get all you can out of it, and even then you still can't do all you might want. The cable comes in the music essentials kit, but don't waste your money. I'd look on ebay, they're SUPER cheap. It's a USB to mini USB connection... (USB Type A to mini B).

What bothers me is that it seems Verizon is falsely advertising things in the user guides.

It does say using your VCast Music phone's USB Cable, so that part can be thought to sound like it's an extra piece. But don't worry, that'll be the smallest of the things that bother you when you start to find out how locked up the phone is!

Believe me, I am already finding out! Now if I can just learn how to fix all this and be able to change it back if I need warranty service. Man, so much to learn.

Yea, a LOT to learn. But pretty much everything you will need to know is in these forums. And if u cant find something, just post a question. The search function will yield you a lot of results.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Hi cincy, I used to Work for Motorola and I understand most of the phone but Really is there no way for me to make MP3 ringtones for my V3 RAZR with Verizon without Editing the Seems? I only want to add my Ringtones and Wallpapers and Possibly back up my contacts.

I intent to AIM you when I get home but alas I am at work. I DO NOT want to brick my phone so if you can help me that would be appreciated. I'm going to get the VE MAXX when it releases and I will be cracked the hell out of that if they do what they usually do (Although servey says as of now they plan to keep the stuff they normally disable).

If you help me out I will be getting on the Wallpaper Forum cause I am a Freelance Graphc Artist as well. I'd be happy to make you a custom Wallpaper. Anything you Wish.

    That is if you want.

Please get back to me ASAP and thanks in advance.

Oh and In Advance I do have MPT 4

As u can see in your other thread u created, you NEED to seem edit your phone to make ringtones work with it. There is no other option.

It's no problem, I did see that...but for future reference, it is frowned upon to cross post. You seem to have things on track now though! Good luck.

Well, you need to seem edit if you want to put ringtones on your phone with MPT, but you can put them on with p2kcommander without a seem edit.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

I just bought an amped V3m prepaid phone. I'm not going to activate it on amped. I'm going to flash it with VZw. However I don't see amped fw for v3m. Not that I care.

It's a dark grey v3m (I think I like it better than my vzw silver.).

Amped isn't too bad. For 100 plus tax after rebate, I'm getting a MicroSD card (only 256 meg) and a data cable.

I'll just never be able to make it an amped phone again.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Before you do it, I would see if that phone will accept a cross-carrier flash. Personally, I think it would, but I do know that some people have tried flashing a Sprint v3m with Verizon and Alltel f/w and the phone was left inoperable. And especially with out an Ampd monster, you could get stuck. Again, I think it should work, but maybe on hofo u can find someone who has tried.

It's already been done. I'm not original hehe. It looks like Amped actually uses VzWs network.

Flash successful. It didn't work without going into boot loader mode.
It's on the VZw Flash now. I'm going to do the upgrade next. If this works, not bad to get a VZW V3m for $116.00. I just need to wait 5 years for the rebate :p

VZW Flash working on the Amped phone. All service (that I don't have to pay for) work. I've sent pix msges. Evdo seems to work, but my coverage sucks.
