Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Ok, I did that. I deleted every file I loaded onto the phone. And when I deleted all the files in a directory, the directory disappeared also! That is using p2k Commander 4.9.6. So as best as I can tell, it's back as it was when I stared. Apparently I unknowingly did something to it or one of the files I loaded did something.

In any event, it's still the same. With the phone closed, the little screen appears normal and no wall paper is displayed. It is white background. When I open the phone, it changes to an alltel image and the main screen is still black. If I press the right button for say a command, the screen lights up and displays that screen normally.

Does anyone know how to back up my address book? I don't know where it's located but I would like to back it up for if/when it should go out completely.

Did you go in with bitpim like I said and delete the folder?

I said that p2kcommander won't delete empty folders... I should have also said it won't show empty folders. You still need to delete the empty folder with bitpim.

You should be able to back up your address book in mpt, you can also do it with pst I believe.

No, the folder disappeared when I deleted all the files from it. There is no folder(s) to delete.

Right, it disappeared in p2kcommander. Did you open bitpim to try to find the folder? Because like I said, it won't show in p2kcommander if it's empty, but it's still there if you go in with bitpim.

    Hi Perzaklie,

I was offering the link to someone else who was a Sprint user. :)

Here is more useful information you may want or not- depending on how brave you are.

It is usually caused by the memory card... try taking it out and usign the phone and see if it speeds up any...that way u can narrow donw if its ur phone ,or ur memory card.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

I have a razor v3 . The plug in battery charger has quit working. I have Motorall Phone tools but it will not recognise it unless it is turned on. Is there another way to make this work? I am guessing that the battery is dead right now and I have no way to charge it. Any Ideas?

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

If you have a V3, then that means you have a GSM razr. This thread is about CDMA razrs. You should direct your question the GSM thread -> http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/razr-phones/55713-razr-gsm-versions-v3-v3i-v3x.html designed for GSM phones such as Cingular, T-mo, etc. CDMA is for Verizon/Alltel which dont have v3 models, they use v3c or v3m.

Actually, it's more for your own safety- you could possibly risk doing some serious damage to your phone.

Where did you get MPT from? Sounds like it's not a full copy and missing the stuff necessary to complete an updated. If you bought it and got a download, see if you can get the download again or install from the install file again... if you got a CD I'd reinstall from the CD, if you downloaded it from the web I'd find a different copy cause it sounds incomplete.

Have u recently added any anti-spyware progams? Or any virus blockers? etc...those can cause havoc... other than that, can u restore your comp to an earlier time to see if that helps any?

    Cincyball

Good deal. I did not realize they came down so much in price. Thanks

Also if interested Ink Jet refills compatables. I use their EPSON and they are cheap and work just as good as the OEM.

I know this is off topic, but I like to share when it comes to saving money for all. :)

okay this may sound like a really dumb question but I have a v3m and I do not see where a memory card would go... uhm... do I have a slot for it?

Push HARDER ;) Most people think its fully seated, but in fact the yneed to push it in a little further. If u are sure its snug, take the card out and look in the slot and see if any of the pins are bent or missing. The razr's lately have been having mem card probs. But if not, what are u having probs with? Can u find the Format function and it just doesnt format?
