Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

I have loaded a coule MP3's onto my Razr V3M using Mobile Phone Tools intending to use them as ringtones. When I play them as they show up in "Get Tunes and Tones" they sound pretty good. But when I set them as ringtones they sound really muddy and distorted.

What gives? Are ringtone files different? Anything I can do to get the best possible sound in them?

    Thanks
    Lloyd

    Thanks for the link Cincyball,

OK. i ran MSU & it reported that i had the latest. then i ran P2K, following the inst. 2 the letter. P2K say "connected" however when i click load from phone
i just get the hourglass that changes back to a cursor after a min or 2.
In device mangager under Motorola USB Device i got 1)communication class-control interface 2)communication class-data interface 3)dta logging MCU interface 4)test command interface. that's it nothing about motorola accessories. is that ok. still a bit confused.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Hey I've had my Motorola Razr v3m for about two weeks.

And I've heard SO MUCH stuff with it I just am LOST.

Ok! first I have Verzion so, do I need to buy there music kit thingy? I would like to put music on it and all. Next I heard that all you have to do is download the drivers, and sync your phone to WMP 10, and that you don't need the music kit from Verizon. Is that true?

What about video's, and pictures? And ringtones? I'm NEW at this and all lol.

I have WMP 11 will that work?

i just got a razr v3m and i was wondering if the picture caller i.d. was shown on the external screen or if it's just internal.
i haven't really looked around so i don't know if this question has been asked before...

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Let me try it. I THINK it works.

yes it does. It's not HUGE, but it does it.

you go to contacts, pick the person, edit, picture, set, pick the picture and then click ok.

If you have already done that make sure that your contacts have the area code also in for the number. I know that one of my cell phones wouldn't show up picture caller id, unless I had the area code in it.

Nope, you dont need anything else running. IF you have something running, u need to close it or else MPT wont recognize ur phone. In fact, close all other programs, unplug the phone, plug it back in, THEN open MPT so it is using the correct drivers.

Yep, it does show on the outside. And if you have flip to answer disabled, when u flip the phone open, it shows the pic there too until u hit a button to answer it.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) Using GPS or Location

So I know the v3m can utilize the navagation system bu Verizon. . .I see that it is called GPS enabled. . . Is there a way to utilize / hack the GPS unit on the phone, so you could locate your phone? Or use it as a GPS unit when connected to your computer ? ?
    Any thoughts ??

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Hey I want to buy a mem card for my Razr. I was looking at Amazon.com and I found some when I typed in the type the manual said it took. But the ones I found look different and I don't know which one to get.

    http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Micro...r_6/102-4278674-3072914?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
    http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Micro...s_7/102-4278674-3072914?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
    http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Micr..._13/102-4278674-3072914?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

    Will they all work?

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Can I delete the stock Verizon pictures using P2K Commander? I can see the .gif files, just don't know if I'm supposed to delete them. Under the "My Pix", I only get an "Erase All" option. If I have a wallpaper or picture I took, I do get an "Erase" option.

I've done the required SEEM edits, have connected to the phone using MPU, then P2K Commander. I've also ran MPT to tweak and xfr ringtones and wallpapers.

I want to know if I can get rid of these annoying pictures I don't want on my phone.

    Regards,
    -Brian

Yes, they will all work. I recommend getting one that comes with an sd card adapter. You plug the micro sd card into a bigger housing that will in turn fit into a standard card reader in case u want to add files to the card via your pc. You will only be able to addd thru the phone otherwise as the phone isnt viewed as a mass storage device.

Brian, :welcome: to WA. You can use BitPim to delete the stock pictures. Browse to the a/motorola/shared/picture folder and u can right clikc and delete the stock ones u dont want. P2Kcommander is quite buggy with CDMA phones since it was technically written for GSM technology. BitPim is a free program that does some good work and also lets u browse the file system.

Ok, so like buy ANY of them, they'll ALL work. And buy one with SD card, BUT I can't put any songs on it, because the phone won't play them. And I can only add them in by phone then.

    Ok. Thanks!

I'm going to get this one:
