Yea, the ONLY games u can put on your phone are if your purchase them from Verizon. BREW signs each game specifically for your phone. Even if u downlaoded it to the computer, and wanted to put it on a replacement phone if yours isever replaced, you cant. Yu would need Verizon to credit u for the game so you can purchase it for your next phone. Welcome to Verizon

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Well I just finally e-Bay'd an adapter from mini-usb to headphones. Problem! (no suprise with this phone)

It doesn't work with any pair of headphones I have, however, works fine with say the cable that runs from my soundcard to my television's av jacks (which is still 1/8 inch or however the size of the headphone jacks are. just an adapter cable) I just don't get sound through it, is there anything special about the headphgones i need to know, like motorola has to make them and bless them or something, because this phone is turning out to be a bigger and bigger pain!

    thanks

Do the headphones need some sort of inline amplifier?

So Im not sure what u bought. Can u post the link to the auction? Your phone should have come with a mini usb dongle that accepts a 3/32" plug. All u should have to purchase is an inline adapter that has a 3/32" PLUG that ACCEPTS a 1/8" headphone jack. Radio shack sells them for less than $5. I will try and find my post that had the links to the products that work.

Great. Now when I try tro Sync music WMP gives me some error that doesnt even make sence... I would bring it back up but I kinda gotta get to work, and I can't take my phone apart right now. I can get music on it, just can't get WMP to convert it for me. I hate Verizon now.

I believe you need to get an adaptor for the item you just bought.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

I'm not sure why WMP isn't converting for you. If your only problem is audio conversion, you can convert the audio before you try synching it into WMP. I use Xilisoft audio converter when I need to convert. (you can find it...*ahem*...on the internet).

Have you upgraded to WMP 11? That may solve your problem. I have been using WMP 11 and it works well for me.

If you can't snyc to your RAZR v3m: manually transfer to the card

Having trouble trying to sync your WMP music files on your computer with your v3m razr? Me too - and the Motorola patch wasn't working.
    Here's another solution, a workaround.

    1. Put a sandisk flash micro memory card in your phone (under the battery) and format it.
    2. Then take it out, put it in its adaptor, and put it into your digital camera.
(if you don't have a camera, buy a flash card reader/writer for $22.)
    3. Using windows media player 10, sync the music you want from your computer onto the card that's in your camera.
**Note that it goes to the wrong folder! The phone can't read it there.
    Here's what to do:
    4. Use 'my computer' to look at what you put onto the card in your camera. Your music is in the folder 'music.'
    5. Move all the music on your card from the folder called 'music' into the folder 'my_music.' That's the one your phone can read it on.
    6. Put the flash card back in your phone, full of music! (My 1GB micro sandisk fits about 220 songs.)

ok so i just got the v3c from alltel and i have a few questions
1 Why is it cell phone manuals never tell you anything? lol
2 How can i delete all the crappy ringers and pics they put on here?
3 How do i make it vibrate and ring at the same time cause i cant hear it well.
4 What was i thinking leaving sprint and fabulous 8300? actually i know this answer but man i miss that phone.
I know these ?s have probably be answered but i see mostly for the verizon version so i dont know if it would be the same

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

Yes, it would be the same. The only thing different is your phone ISNT already crippled. Verizon makes us re enable things on the phone that urs already has.

    2) You can use BitPim to delete the stock pics. You need PST and P2kCommander to delete the audio files. Use the HOW TO's the same way. Verizon and Alltel both use the same CDMA phone. SO everythig is vastly similar.

    3) You CANT have ring AND vibe, you can only have ring THEN vibe, and again that shoudl ALREADY be on ur phone. Verizon users have to turn it on as verizon had turned it off on us.

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

I just got MPT for my RAZR V3m. I did the live update and downloaded what I thought to be the most updated driver. The problem when I run MPT is that it does not detect my phone. When I get to the choices of phones, the closest I can choose in V3cm which seems to find my phone. However, it will not allow me to transfer anything with my phone and then says that the phone is disconnected. Is this something anyone has had happen before? Does anyone have a cure for me? Thanks.

Please search more, this has been covered numerous times. I will give you the link to the thread where I helped someone from start to finish in getting his phone set up to use MPT and allow MultiMedia transfer. Before saying that, you need to keep live updating MPT until u get to version 4.21a. The live updfate WILL NOT go to the newest, u have to do 1 at a time til u get to 4.21a. Once u do that, it would have the option for v3m, but as u will read in the post I have linked to below, you NEED to get ur phone auto-detected as v3mM. Please do some thorough reading and feel free to post specific well thought out questions. Thanks and good luck!

PS I have attached the newest driver for your phone. It is driver tool 4.21a.

Very sorry not to have found the answer sooner. I did find a posting of yours that helped me to do my first seems on my phone. I performed them as the instructions indicated and my phone now works just fine with MPT. Thanks so much. I probably need more help with doing accurate searches than anything else. Sorry to have bothered you with a common question but thanks again! :)

ok one more question, i was riding through greensboro,nc and had 1x show up and i know the manual says that means you have 1x-rtt coverage. But i have no clue what that means. I know it has something to do with internet but thats it.

can i heard i can connect via dial up from my v3c with alltel if so how do i do that. i have a dell pda and that would be really useful. as im on the road all the time now a days

cincyball thanks for answering my questions earlier, was help full but can i do that through bluetooth or do i need the cable

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

There are 2 speeds that the v3m can connect to the net.

1x - Dial-up internet (still about 4x faster than dial up)
EVDO - High speed internet (broadband)

With that being said, you can use dial up networking (DUN) to connect a laptop to the internet using your phone as a modem. This is called tethering. By default, your phone has EVDO enabled. (you would see an EV when in an EVDO area, and will see a 1x displayed when not). You have 2 options to connect thru ur phone.

    1) You can disable EVDO, and connect at 1x speeds. (You will only use your minutes as this is treated as a voice call...so if its after 9pm or weekends, it is totally free)

    2) You can pay Verizon $60 and leave EVDO enabled, and connect thru ur phone at high speed net.

The reason you cant tether WITH EVDO is b/c it violates Verizon's TOS. But using 1x speeds just uses your minutes. As for USB and Bluetooth, I use my usb cable because it maximizes the dial up speeds. It has been reported the bluetooth slows down the already slower method. I have personally never used bluetooth to connect this way. I will post a link below to a site that helps you disbale EVDO, and also how to set up DUN.

Please let me know if u have any other questions.

Ok well this poped up on my alltel phone. Wonder if i could put my dial up number on MY Circle. I dont have a lap top yet just my pda so i would probably have to use to blue tooth method.

And with Bitpim and p2k do i have to have the cable or can i just use blue tooth for deleting the pics and such

Re: Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c v3m ) post your questions here

yea, i have never used a pda, so i dont know how the dial up would work, but if it does, bluetooth is what u would have to use. if you can follow the steps to setting up a dial up connection on ur pda, i think it should work, but i have no experience in this.

as for bitpim and p2k, yes u will need a usb cable. neither can work with bluetooth. once u get ur stock pics off, u could use bluetooth for MPT to transfer music and pics after u do some seem edits to enable bluetooth exchange thru MPT.

EDIT: Actually, u keep mentioning Alltel. Are you on their network, or did u flash ur verizon to alltel? either way, your phone has full bluetooth functions and you wouldnt need to do any seem edits for file transfers

yes im on Alltel i spend most of my time out in the country and they are the only ones that pick up. I just left Sprint saturday, and they gave me great service but at an outragous price, but they wouldn't pick up at my gfs house or in her area so if i got in any trouble wont no way to call for help lol.

Maybe we need a subsub forum lol

A few pages back I posted a problem with the headphones that came with VCast Music Essentials Kit (MEK) only playing in the right earphone. I took the headphones back to the local verizon store where I bought MEK and explained the problem. Amazingly the gal opened another MEK box and we tried the headphones and wa la they worked and in stereo too! She gave them to me no charge! I guess I just had a bad set of headphones.

If you do, I encourage starting a new thread titled w/ your problem so people in the future could search and find the answers in a dedicated thread rather than having to searching 50+ pages in the thread ;)
